A budget friendly hotel, that is basic and comfortable. There is a lack of plug points and the ones that are available are awkward to get access to. There is a kettle but one has to climb under the desk to access the power. On arrival, the bedside lamps were not working. I was told they for decoration only and not functional. I later found it was disconnected. The aircon remote refused to work, so could put the airconnon, but did not allow for the settings.to be changed. 

Breakfast was way below average and the day I ordered eggs, no eggs were available and they had to go and buy. The honey was rock solid as it had been refrigerated. Not worth the R130 price. Coffee was Ricoffy.

Staff also wanted payment right away after breakfast. On the day of arrival, the reception staff came up to sort out some queries on 3 separate occasions. Very frustrating and intrusive. 

If one can live with these frustrations, then it's fine, however you get what you pay for in this instance.

The Pillow Suites Pretoria

I was just trying Pillows suite out as it's still new in the area. I was not blown away but not dissapointed either. It's just a normal lodge were you can relax. The good thing is it's so affordable. The members of staff is also good with people. It's a place I can go again

Worth A Visit

I made a booking to the Pillows Suite for a group of 15 Adults from the 13th -15th of July 2015 and got instant confirmation via email (early April).I called the establishment to arrange payment and I was told I could only pay cash on arrival. This worried me and I raised my concern to the lady I spoke to and she assured me that all was in order and there would be no disapppintments.

I called them again a week ago (1 week before check in) to check that all is well with my reservation and as confirmation that we were still coming and the gentleman I spoke to gave me reassurance that all is well.

To my utter dismay and shock, my group arrived at the establishment today to check in and they were told that they cannot be accomodated as there is no space! How unprofessional is this? The lady at reception was rude and spoke about "1st come 1st serve" and acted as if they just randomly showed up at the last minute. 

They never mentioned anything about the "first come first served" rule the 2 times I communicated to them over the phone, had we known we would have seeked alternative accomodation ON TIME! Most affordable hotels are booked this weekend, because of the national conference my group is attending. 

I nearly had a heart attack when they informed me that they do not have a place to sleep. This group travelled all the way from the Free State to Pretoria for almost NOTHING! Fortunately I was able to quickly find alternative accomodation within their budget. Thanks for nothing Pillows Suite! Continue treating clients this way, very soon there will be no business to speak of!
