A beautiful home. Authentic African experience. Everything you need in the house. Super comfortable. Two outdoor areas beautiful bbq. Had lovely evenings  around the fire. Saw lots of animals in and around the house. Zebra, giraffe, all sorts of buck, warthog. Just delightful. The river is a short walk away and you see onto Kruger. We saw hippo elephants buck crocs etc. would absolutely return. Just be aware there is a short stretch of dirt road approaching the property. Zac and Shirley greeted us and offered all the help we could need. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing!

What an amazing experience, the house is great and more than what we expected, the wildlife in the park are amazing and come right up to the back of the property, Zac and Shirley are great and very helpful, Zac chopped our wood and lit our fire as we forgot to take firelighters, we will definitely be going back, thanks for the great experience

Amazing worth every penny

I had the most amazing experience at Khumbula 1. The house is incredibly clean and the pictures don’t do it justice. Shirley and Zac are such good and warm people and made our stay even more memorable. I will be coming back soon.So many giraffes on the property 🦒🦒🦒

Khumbula a Lovely Bush Dream

Well yet again it was amazing, I simply cannot explain how excellent both properties are. We had enough people so hired out both khumbula 1 & 2. Zac and Shirley were fantastic as always. We have stayed here several times now and the service and quality does not deteriorate. Thank you so much for making our stay perfect.

Lovely

We stayed and Khumbula iAfrica 2 at the end of July 2023.  Although our weather wasn't great during our 3 night stay, the hospitality of Zac and Shirley and location were great.  
We are a family of 6 -- with 4 adult children -- ages 17-22.  Lots of space for all 6 of us.
The proximity of Khumbula iAfrica 2 to the Crocodile Bridge gate of Kruger is about +/- 15 minutes.  Because of the poor winter weather -- we decided to head to Kruger park earlier than planned and had unbelievable viewings.  
During the time we spent in Marloth park -- we had many animal sitings. So incredible to get so close to so many animals.
Khumbula iAfrica 2 has lots of living space both inside and outside. The main floor opens up nicely to the backyard.  Beautiful landscaping and pool in the backyard.  Unfortunately because of the cool weather -- we didn't swim...that said -- the pool was kept very clean by Zac!  
Shirley notified us of an item we left behind which we picked up about a week later.  Very trustworthy people.  
Thanks so much for making the first place of our stay in South Africa so hospitable and rewarding. 


Lots of space for a family of 6!  

We loved the stay at khombula 2! Everything from the kind welcoming from Zac and the sweet Shirly to the comfort of having everything you need in the kitchen and comfortable beds. 
Amazing also that we didn’t have to make our beds or washing dishes. Luxury! Lovely to sit by the Braai and experience wildlife around the corner. Having kudus and giraffes visiting . Thank you also for providing pellets for the animals! 
Only regret was that we only had 2 nights! Would definitely come again and have already recommended Khombula to friends.

Short but sweet stay in paradise

Perfect apartment with private pool, braai area and balcony. Can host up to 6 people, fully equipment, very clean and safe. Good location, very easy to find and close to Crocodile Bridge gate to Kruger National Park. Also included housekeeping service with every day cleaning. Laundry and car wash service for additional price

After a stressful 48 hour journey from the UK ( flight cancellation at the last minute) we found ourselves in this piece of Heaven. We had visited the original Khumbula1 in the past and this house is very similar but even better -it is very private, nobody passes by, and the pool is much bigger. A friendly hornbill greeted us on arrival and we were visited by kudus, warthogs and mongoose. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are very comfortable and we were delighted to see that the lovely Shirley is still there, she took great care of us. We can’t wait to come back.
