Comfortable, quiet and roomy. Pet friendly and secure for dogs. The apartment was clean and had everything needed for a self catering safe. The apartment was cleaned after a few days. Situ was great for the town. The owner was friendly and helpful.

Private stay

At this place, you feel completely at home. The rooms are big, airy, and spacious. Sitting outside you are in a green oasis. A lovely pool is a few meters away. Other guests joined us in this pool which was very tranquil and special. A real magic place. It is so convenient to drive to town. Definitely a bargain and highly recommended. My partner and I slept so well. Beautifully quiet.

Hillview Self-Catering

Janine the owner was extremely professional, a down to earth person who cares about the comfort and safety of her customers.
Our apartment was clean and the decor updated with a magical view. The self catering and BBQ facilities was great and we got great value for our money!

Excellent stay during Heritage weekend

Only spent two days just prior to CV-19 lockdown. Management most understanding when we had to cut our stay short. They most definitely deserve our support in these trying times for the hospitality industry. We will most definitely return as soon as possible.....

Great Views - Very Central

An absolutely stunning spot to stay close to the waterfront and Theasan Island. It was very quiet with a beautiful outside area and pool. Peaceful with lovely views over Knysna. The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything you needed including air con. Janine was the perfect host providing detailed information on things to do locally. Janine was very friendly and laid back. We loved our morning chats. In fact we were so relaxed we forgot to check out and Janine kindly accommodated us for another night. I would highly recommend this place.

Knysna holiday

The stay was lovely. It’s our fourth stay at Hillview apartments, and already it feels like home. It is a pet and baby friendly environment that is a neat and tidy stay with a marvelous view at over the Waterfront and a garden with a peaceful setting where you can read a good book with coffee before kicking off your day. If your looking for a place where you can feel safe and actually rest, a place where owner is friendly and professional this is the place. The location is walking distance from Knysna central. Family activities are a stone throw away. Excellent see you soon. 

Excellent

From arrival to departure our stay was excellent.  The room service we received on a daily basis was excellent. We staid for 17 nights and our towels and bedding was replaced at least once a week even though there really was no need for it. Our apartment was cleaned on a daily basis. Fresh milk, coffee, tea, sugar and rusks were provided on a daily basis. Toilet paper were refilled in a daily basis, dishwashing liquid were refilled on a daily basis (although the apartment was cleaned daily, I do not like having dirty dishes around so I washed my own dishes and every morning they would refill the dishwashing liquid. Fresh dishtowels supplied every morning. Staff very friendly, welcoming and willing to help with everything.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hillview.

The property is centrally situated with an excellent elevated view over the entire Knysna area from the room and balcony.
Janine is an excellent host and the facilities are of a high standard.
The apartment offered everything I was looking for and more including privacy and no noisy disturbances.
Very close to shops, good restaurants and tourist spots.
I can definitely recommend Hillview to couples and families looking for a peaceful retreat along this beautiful coastline.
