We had a lovely relaxing time at Ongegund everything was in order, the rooms were clean and beautiful, the pool and the view ow my God my kidsand my Mom from Eastern Cape  loved everything about the place and the location.

The breakfast on the other side was yummy.

The service was extremely good. I'm definitely coming back with my Hubby.



Excellent

The service and hospitality from both the owner and venue manager are incredible. They tendered to all my needs. The venue itself is clean and cozy, I felt completely safe. The views of the vineyard are breathtaking. 

Serene and breathtaking Ongegund Lodge

We were welcomed and accompanied to our room which was so tranquil. Everything in the room was great and the surroundings so peaceful. The breakfast was so delicious too! We will surely be back. Thank you Ongegund!

Anniversary stay at Ongegund Lodge & Conference Venue

This was a little spot of paradise. Very lovely place and enjoyed a lovely swim. We even had great packed lunches . Would recommend for anyone. Especially for Cape Epic riders... 20 minutes to Elgin and easy to Lourensford.

Peaceful stay

I booked this accommodation using booking.com after phoning the establishment to enquire if they were in Somerset west as I had business to do there and would need to travel alone at night. I am a female. They said yes and it is well lit. On arrival I was devastated it was way too far away down in a dodgy area and very dangerous. People approaching car as you try and find the way. I explained very politely why I could not stay and the lady at reception understood and said yea it would not be safe for me to travel alone at night. They charged me for my entire stay and refused to hive deposit back. I had to find alternate accommodation at short notice and still refuse to give me a refund despite me not staying there and inconvenience caused. The entire place looks very run down. 

Terrible and unreasonable

The lodge is in a very beautiful location. The rooms were clean and well designed. The staff was fantastic - friendly, courteous, and attentive to all of our needs. Breakfast was basic, but excellently prepared.

Great property, great staff

We experienced great service.  The rooms were clean and had all the amenities we needed.  The beds and linen was comfortable and the breakfast we were served was excellent!  Thank you to the staff at Ongegund Lodge for making us feel so welcome.

Ongegund Lodge - Overnight stay

I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lodge from Susan to mershia to  another lady short forgot her name sorry were extremely friendly and so helpful I have never done a review on a place however this time I had to.... It was as if I knew them for years.... And not your typical helpful man just so accommodating and especially since I had a little 4month old they even swoppped my room to be more secure.

I'm definitely making my way there again this time for a bigggg bash planning a 30th  in April and I'm booking with them!!!!!!!!!!!

We checked in at Ongegund the day before our wedding and also stayed at the accommodation the night of the wedding. Although we didn't get married at Ongegund, the staff were absolutely amazing in making sure we had everything we needed to get ready the morning of the wedding. This was a massive stress relief as they provided a private space for myself and my bridesmaids to get ready, allowed us to bring in snacks for while we were getting ready, ironed my traditional skirt for the wedding, and helped us to move our things to the new room. 

The breakfast and location were both great. Waking up to a tranquil setting made all the difference on the morning of our wedding. The accommodation prepared breakfast a little earlier so that we could have breakfast before our day got started. They also allowed members of the wedding party (who were not staying over), to have breakfast as we were all getting ready at the accommodation. 

The staff truly went above and beyond. We couldn't have asked for a better accommodation and I will most certainly come back.

The most accommodating and helpful accommodation I've stayed at.

I'll recommend to everyone ,we had a lovely weekend,The staff was supper friendly and very helpful.Mersia and her team needs a raise.I would like to bring my kids there when it's hot they have a blast
