Fine dining and special atmosphere in middle of the nature-with a beautiful view. Spectacular location + clean and comfortable rooms. Nice and warm people, Very good service and great staff, greetings to Bruno( the emblematic dog)

Great weekend, perfect location

The whole experience was amazing! The location is excellent with an amazing view. We stayed at Villa Uno, and the access to the lake was a bonus for us. Beautifully made with a generous social area. The staff is very attentive, and I will contradict the reviews I read online about the size of the portions at Atra Restaurant. The food is very tasty, nicely plated and in regards to quantity I do believe that the portion is not that small. Just enough! We will definitely go back and will highly recommend it to others!

Haute cuisine and great wines assorted in a wonderful landscape. Paltinu lake is impressive even  on rainy days. Dishes prepared here and wines chosen are at the great standards. Finish the day on fire camp will define the beautiful atmosphere and fresh mountain air.

Fine taste and good wines, peaceful dinner

The location is wonderful, the service is amazing and the restaurant is very nice. We will definitely have a great time here for the next two days. 
The wine menu is very interesting and you can choose from a  big variety of styles and brands. All Romanian wines.

Great location for family time and also great for spending time with friends.

On of the most beautiful places in Romania.
The location, the food and the people are exquisite here. Great place for a weekend relaxation or business team buildings, fine dining together with the view and calmness of the place makes this location a must for a visit when you are near the area. Easy to access, road has been well improved and the whole ace has a great story altogether. 

A rare location 

I visited this five stars pension house with my wife, it was a surprise from her.
I have been here before, but only for a short visit, there were no rooms available.  
I was pleasantly surprised, starting with the kindness of the employees, but especially with the impressive view.  
I wish I had taken a walk on the lake, but it rained.  
Even so, we took a walk in the rain, the smell of the forest is worth the effort.  Another detail, even after so many years, the design of this pension, has not yet been matched by others.
At a closer look, one can also notice the technical complexity of the construction execution.  But along with the view, futuristic design, and integration into nature, it has emerged as an unforgettable source of experience.  
In addition, we participated in a tasting of Romanian wines, accompanied by a demonstration of culinary art, which convinced me to forget that "I do not like" pheasant meat, venison, turbot fillets, presented in a  artistically mode.
Friendly employees, cleanliness, wonderful view, made a simple visit, an unforgettable experience.  
I wish to spend another night, in winter, when everything will be white around, the fire will burn in the hearth and in the fireplace of the restaurant, and the wine in the glass will happily complete the story.

An unforgettable experience

Excellent place for a relaxing and fun gateaway with family and friends. We were with a couple of friends with kids and everything was at high standards and the views are amazing.
The rooms look great, very clean and we didn’t hear any noise. The staff is friendly and willing to help.
We also participated to a fine dining and wine pairing event that we enjoyed; it was a new experience for us :)

We really recommend this place; for sure we’ll come back.

Excellent choice

Atra is placed in an amazing landscape with an amazing view. This is the first impact when you arrive there. Someone could criticize the road, but, please, skip this criticism! Focus on the view and on the silence of the place!
It is a great pleasure to wake up and to see that view, to have the breakfast, lunch or dinner with that view. Every room has lake view. 
Food is amazing and is based on the philosophy to use local products, which is something that I personally consider is great for both tourist and local producers. Their chef is not only preparing tasty meals, but is also very creative. The dishes we had were delightful. 
Very clean room with coffee machine and water from the house.
Very nice team which did the best to maintain the high class of Atra.
I would definitely recommend it for those who want to spoil themselves or to offer something special to their dear ones. It is also a place where you can recharge your batteries.

Amazing Atra

The location is great. The mountain cabin we stayed at Vila Uno is perfect with the new covid restrictions. It’s private, quiet and has no common areas, unless you really want to interact with the other tourists. Beds have great mattresses with clean linens and for the first time in a long time I really had a good night sleep. The loft was perfect for the kids. The WiFi is free and very fast and we could even work remotely from the comfort of our balcony, while watching the Paltinu Lake.  The view is spectacular! 

Cons: The room has no AC, but being in the heart of the mountains, we didn’t feel the need for it even in the hottest day of the summer.

Our home away from home

I'm happy that I picked Mira resort because we had a very relaxing holiday. The breakfast was very good, included in the room’s price and was served on the beautiful terrace. Room is very clean and beautiful, including the bathroom. Beds are very comfortable with white, clean linens and quality pillows. The Resort is located in a very quiet area with a beautiful view towards the lake. While staying there, we didn’t get bored as there were a lot of activities and places to visit (long walks in the wood, a beautiful trout farm nearby and ATV runs). I like its proximity to the Paltinu Lake. You can walk in the forest and even have a picnic if weather is good. Staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I'm giving this resort a big thumb up.

Cons: there is no mini fridge in the room but since we ate at the Atra Restaurant, we actually didn’t need one anyway.
