Maybe due to the month and season the conditions were not satisfactory. The rooms were not very clean and the water had a bit of a funny smell ar the beginning. The breakfast was worth at the most 3 stars. But I must ackowledge the good coffee and ultra great views at sunrise. The receptionist and staff did not attend, in the past year a customer care training because they had close to zero customer approach. But, again, maybe in autumn and winter they reduce their activity and since we came out of season we could not see the real extend of their services. I shall come back during summer season to make sure 

Not up to its name

Good room with balcony. However balcony shared with everyone on your floor. Walking to get a view of the lake from the balcony meant passing their rooms.
Service in restaurant and reception slow 
Good breakfast.
Shower in room worked well but a terrible smell of drains when we turned it on. I could not use it. I went to the swimming pool area for a shower. There the water did not run away so flooded the area. 
We stayed there to be able to visit Snagov monastery. It is a long drive from this hotel and no boats on the lake to take you.

Poor service

Please do not fall for the amazing pictures. Unfortunately, the hotel does not look exactly like the pictures. There was a very poor cleaning condition, the food was not great at all and the staff was undertrained and unprofessional for a 4 star hotel. Although the location is absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful view over the lake.  Room facilities look like brand new, shame for the cleaning services. Overall a bit disappointing as I was expecting a 4 star services and we got less than that.

Disappointing

We stayed here 3 days, but we were disappointed. The place is great, with beautiful gardens and view. The room was clean. We didn't like it because in the second day we went to take the breakfast and even they had the program to restaurant from 8 to 10 there was no food. Only at 8:05 they start to bring the food and all was finished only at 8:25. Was disturbing because we were in a hurry. And in the last day when we wanted to do our check out there was no one at the reception, again was disturbing because we were in hurry. 

A bit disappointed 

Booked the resort for the rich history of the place, but the actual location tells nothing about this history. The building was rebuild and gives some idea of modern elements, but all public areas are dirty, food is poor, staff unprofessional and the worst of all is actually the manager (SEFU') which sets the bad example for the staff. To say the least, this was a very bad experince, a location that sells itself as a 4 star resort, but offers 2 stars everything.
