Old retro style beautiful vila. Reception guy had difficulty in communicating in English. Rooms were comfortable. There is no AC so can be an issue for few, however we kept the windows open for natural cool breeze. Breakfast buffet was delicious with good options. There is a cute cat staying in the vila premises which was adorable. Location is 10 mins walk from the station & close by to all attractions. Overall wonderful stay to feel old world charm.

Felt like grandma home

Located in an old renovated mansion, very close to the center of Sinaia (5 minutes walking) The house is extraordinary with wooden walls and ceiling with a bit of art deco decoration. Very vintage The room was a bit old fashioned and slightly uncomfortable but perfectly sufficient for a good sleep night.
Private parking available in the garden.

Big confusion at breakfast. Room too small for the number of guests. We had to go back to the room and come back some time later. Besides, the choice is not very big
in short, nice hotel, nice decoration, not very comfortable rooms. Expensive for the offer

Nice old mansion

We enjoyed very much our stay at Vila Camelia. Beautiful house, with a vintage air, with a beautiful living room and a very large chimney, large and clean rooms and also clean bathrooms and a very nice restaurant with a diversity of dishes. It's a 5 minute walk to the city center and very close to the atractions that Sinaia has to offer. The staff was very nice and polite. If you want an incredible experience, Vila Camelia is the place to stay. We will definitely return.

Just like a castle!

We loved our stay in Vila Camélia. Beautiful house and well located. Incredible living room where we would love spend some hours ! Staff was nice. Breakfast is not really our kind of food and we would have prefered a buffet, but this was cool yet ;) 

Beautiful place 

Nice location, walking distance to the city center. Nice yard, parking place inside close to garden. Pretty restaurant with several fresh cooked foods, different offers for breakfast. The staff was amable, carrefully for the tourists wishes. Unfortunately the rooms are old furnitured, not fresh smell and small bathroom, bed are with hard mattress, less comfortable. Still the towels and bed linen white and clean.

I have stayed here for a couple of days during the week.

Pro:

- the variety of food offered at breakfast

A Charming Mansion

I stayed 4 times this year at Vila Camelia (spring, summer and now, in December), and each time I had a pleasant and most relaxing experience. As we were a couple, we always booked a double room and probably the best & affordable are rooms 6 and 18.

The breakfast was a buffet, rich enough for us in the varieties of cooked products; for the lunch/dinner you could order from the menu. There are a lot of dishes and the prices are almost the same as in town (for some, even less). In the summer time one could enjoy the garden with the sitting area and all the touristic attractions are quite close (Sinaia monastery and the Peleș castle in the vicinity).

This is a 19th century building and each step in the restauration process is difficult (and probably expensive) to be done. The old charm is still in the atmosphere although clearly the owners intervened to make the villa more appropriate for nowadays requirements in what concerns accommodation. I very much like it as it is and I highly recommend it for all those who want to experience Sinaia in a historical and inspiring setting.

Excellent accommodation & an authentic, vintage charm

I stayed overnight here at the beginning of a charity trek across the Carpathian Mountains.  The hotel from outside was very typical of a ski/mountain lodge.  The staff were very efficient and friendly at getting our large group checked in.  I had a single room on the top floor which required me to carry my backpack up three flights of steep stairs.  There is however a lift but it’s a squeeze for one person and a piece of luggage but there if you really need it.  The evening meal was well catered as was the breakfast.  Facilities to make a packed lunch for our trek was also available.  The rooms are basic and dated but have all modern requirements hairdryer, tea/coffee and fridge with drinks, however be warned with everyone showering at the same time it’s a very cold wash!! The hotel was in a good location to start our hike in the morning up through the woods, castle and beyond.

Overnight stay prior to mountain trek

We spent beautiful moments in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. We appreciated the cleanliness and courtesy of the staff. The food was very good at breakfast and also for Dinner.

Great stay at Sinaia

The place is stylish and has a vintage aura but...that s it. Furniture is old and without taste...the wooden courtain stand dropped when we tried to pull the courtains and when we called the receptionist she asked  the cooker to come and see and both remeber that the man who handle this is in vacation. Breakfast was very light.
We also ate for lunch a tripe soup which was awful and expensive.
The 2 stars are for clean bathroom, good position and the history.
