We stayed in one of three apartments for three nights during our honeymoon. There is a self check-in system in place, however the owner of the property happened to be around when we arrived. Miguel is very friendly and even left us a bottle of bubbly which we enjoyed on one of our three(!) private terraces. The apartment we stayed in was more like small farm house with kitchen, sitting area, bedroom and a lovely roof terrace with views over the island, Vila Franca do Campo and the Islet. There is also a barbecue which we used on one occasion. Everything you can think of is supplied and there is even a laundry room with products free of charge. The house was clean and cosy with great wifi and AC. There is a communal pool and a rock pool down by the sea. It's a steep trek through a banana plantation, well worth it! As this is a working farm, you can have a look at the pineapple plants in the greenhouses. Highly recommend! If you want an authentic experience of the Azorean country side, definitely consider Quinta Vehla das Amoreiras!

The house is conveniently located for exploring the island, 20 minutes drive form the airport

It is not posh but very comfortable stay.

You will stay in the heart of the farm, surrounded by pineapple and banana plantations

The terrace ocean view is breathtaking,  we had fantastic breakfasts at the terrace as  we lucky to enjoy sunrises and sunsets (and  even saw a whale)

For those traveling in winter outside of the season - it is a good choice,  do not hesitate, you won't be freezing. We enjoyed the real fire chimney a lot!!!! 

We checked the sea natural pool, but for sure you can profit in full from it in summer

Kitchen is equipped with everything but dishwasher (we didn't feel a need for it)

There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer

It is perfect choice for a family stay, we traveled with 7-year-old son who was happy to explore the  surrounding area

There is a supermarket and restaurants nearby but obviously, you will need a car to get to the place and to travel around the island

TIP:  take your binoculars, we forgot and regretted a lot when saw a whale in the ocean from our terrace!!!

Breathtaking ocean view and just a perfect stay!

Absolutely amazing place, right near the sea, beautiful views for miles.  Pool by villla's and seawater pool down by the seas edge.  Great location, 20 to 30 minutes from airport.  Houses spotlessly​ clean and roomy, and adequately​ stocked.

the view is just marvellous, you have 2 swimming pools, one in the sea and one next to the apartment. The apartments are spacious and the landlord is very friendly, it is for sure a very good address to stay at. You have plenty of activities in the neighbourhood as well. A car is needed if you stay there
