Winniehill

Recently stayed at with Winnihill. Friends recommended this place to us, and I am glad we took their advice. We were blown away, the place is amazing with stunning ocean view overlooking Olhao and the islands Culatra and Farol. The place is absolutely spotless. Breakfasts are healthy and fresh, with lots of fruit and Fiona’s home-baked bread and muffins. Every day there a was another special. We were definitely spoiled ☺ Lots to do in the neighbourhood. Our highlights. We had a nice walk in the beautiful gardens of Estoi’s palace and a coffee afterwards on the cute square in front of the church. In Estoi we had coffee at the bakery Maria Magdalena, a undiscovered gem where they serve delicious glutenfree cakes. From there we took the boat to Farol. After crossing the island from the boat through sandy paths, you come to this fantastic beach bar Maramais with Atlantic view right next to the Farol / lighthouse. Charmingly furnished and very colourful, it welcomes its guests. Sun terrace with sunbeds and Atlantic view. The island Armona was also super nice, there we spend a lovely afternoon in another beach bar Camaleao. In an unique ambience with our feet in the sand we enjoyed a lovely lunch. It was a bit more pricy than Maramais but definitely worth the visit. Will be heading back there again in the summer of 2021. Thanks Fiona & Robin!
