Just returned from a wonderful week in this resort. It was a perfect venue for a family reunion with 37 staying at Vale a Pena in 11 apartments. Clean spacious apartments in a lovely resort. Great outside communal area giving us space to socialise together whilst having our own space in the 11 apartments. Maids are there daily and are so friendly and helpful. Harm the manager is also friendly and helpful. We booked through Amarante Villas and customer service from Avrid from start to finish was exceptional. Walk into Carvoeiro town took about 25mins at moderate pace. Carvoeiro Tennis Club is a 5 min walk to get snacks in their cafe. Nearest restaurant and mini market is a 15 min walk on Quinta Do Paraiso Resort. Big supermarkets are a 10 min drive. Hire car is useful to get about but the local taxi service is exceptional. Approx €5 into the town. Carvoeiro town is fab - love the friendly family buzz around the main square. Portuguese people are lovely. We’ve had a wonderful trip and hope to return.
