We wanted to rent rooms for 1 & 2 nights stay for a group of around 30 people (mostly couples & families) for our pre-wedding accommodation. Receptionist gave us a nice tour around, showed the price list and asked to meet the owner the very next day to pay the deposit and to discuss the details. Very happy that things went down so easily we came back to Goral the next day on time of our scheduled meeting..... just to wait 20min for the owner who went jogging and was not in rush to see us. After her late arrival without any apology the owner sat with us in the restaurant in her jogging clothes behaving like we were interrupting her and addressing me as per "you" which is considered very rude in Poland. After short conversation the owner offered much higher price to what we agreed with the receptionist a day before saying that she is making us a favour because its not a good deal for her. She explained that she has to pay for cleaners so for 1 & 2 days its not worth the money for her and that we should stay for a few days at least. She mentioned in a very arrogant tone that she is not really happy with this deal. At this point I was about to walk out and the only thing that stopped me was the fact that I was there with my mother. Is that a service you should receive in a 3 star Spa hotel? How is a group of 30 people staying for 2 nights in a low season not a good deal? Is cleaning not included in the price? Absolutely outrageous! I told the owner that I have to consult my fiancee and never came back again. The hotel itself is nothing special - decor doesn't impress- 1980's style. Very dated and basic should be 1* not 3. I'm attaching pictures which I took during my tour around the hotel with the receptionist. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.

Chcielismy wynajac pokoje w Goralu na 1 & 2 noce dla okolo 30 osob, glownie par i rodzin z dziecmi kilka dni przed naszym slubem w Szczyrku. Pani recepcjonistka oprowadzila nas po obiekcie, podala cennik i umowila na spotkanie z wlascicialka nastepnego dnia zeby zaplacic depozyt i porozmawiac o szczegolach. Szczesliwi ze wszystko udalo sie latwo zalatwic stawilismy sie na spotkanie o umowinej godzinie w restauracji w Goralu. zaczne od tego ze czekalismy dobre 20min na wlascicielke ktora poszla sobie pobiegac i nie spieszyla sie zeby wrocic na czas. Po pojawieniu sie pani weszla do restauracji ubrana jak do biegania a nie podpisywania umowy na kilka tys zlotych i od razu dala nam odczuc ze jej przeszkadzamy. Po krotkiej rozmowie i adresowniu mnie per "Ty" podala nam calkiem inne ceny niz dzien wczesniej i powiedziala ze nie podoba jej sie ten interes bo dwa dni to za krotko (niski sezon -Wrzesien) i musi zaplacic sprzataczkom i jej sie to niespecjalnie oplaca wiec robi nam przysluge. Mialam ochote juz wyjsc w tym momencie i trzasnac drzwiami ale bylam tam z mama wiec postanowilam sie zachowac do konca. Powiedzialam ze musze sie skonsultowac z narzeczonym i juz tam nigdy nie wrocilismy. WSTYD! WSTYD! WSTYD! Co to za obsulga w 3*** hotelu Spa? Sam wyglad hotelu to 1* naciagana na 2 w zadnym wypadku 3. Absolutnie nie polecam! Szkoda nerwow!

Arrogant owner & shocking service - Arogancka wlascicielka & szokujaca obsluga

In june 2014 me and a friend were on holiday in Szczyrk, and had great pleasure in playing our guitars and singing in the Goral .....We had a great time, and we know the audience did!! We are coming back in August, and would love to play again if possible. .......The food was really good, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. .....We can't wait to return.
