If you are looking for a cheap and very nice place to celebrate. Try to check this place. In my opinion as a local, this is the perfect place to celebrate because it's not a crowded place and well-maintained sea shore. There is a free cottage once you are an in-house guest in the resort but on a first come first serve basis. You will witness the sunrise in this area and it's a front beach.
One thing to be improved is their road. It's a little far and a very rough road going here but it's worth it after all.

Would say that I am happy but I am not because I am not with my family this time. Come here for work and there are mixed feelings. 
As Fil-Am citizen I was expecting little bit more out of this property but seems like that is over and over and over again with the same things in Hennan. Didn't change at all from my last visit. 
Buffet breakfast, I didn't enjoy the room service for my dinner and the pool seems very dirty for me. I hope that the management will address properly this issues. Other than that, good to be back in Panglao. 

Could expect more

We recently (January 2020) stayed at the Panglao Grande Resort in Bohol. We give this resort 7/10. The first reason for this is because the resort is not 100% “ready” meaning the road to the resort is not complete. There is a caveat to this though and that is a legal battle between the resort and the neighbors who purchased land and the road to the resort with it. This is NOT the fault of the resort and they have an alternate dirt road that they use to transport to and from, but it just makes it less “comfortable.” The second reason is for the restaurant which leaves some things to be desired. They don’t accept credit cards, they were constantly out of food (I’m talking early in the morning for breakfast when they should be ready to go for the day). The third reason is credit cards at the hotel, meaning they don’t accept them. We understand that things happen and internet goes down from time to time, but to promote yourself as a resort and not accept credit cards in 2020 is just not up to snuff. 

On the other hand...

The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating (we will give them a 9/10) with all aspects of the resort. They put us in an upgraded room when the AC in our unit went out, they were quick to help with travel off the resort and also to plan tours and excursions. Always with a smile ready to assist with our luggage. The staff really made our stay pleasant. 

Let’s talk rooms...

We had an opportunity to stay in 3 rooms during our visit. The first is room 18 which we DO NOT recommend. It feels like a staff quarters and is just not dressed properly for guests. The second was a pool side room #25 and this one was dressed properly, but had no view. The third was #3 and this one was GREAT! Facing the ocean, Private little entrance, tile floor, just good to go (oh, except the shower water pressure... they need to correct that). 

Location, location, location...

This resort is off the beaten path, meaning it’s not in the party area (Alona Beach). It was quiet at night, chill and very relaxing. The beach was usually with handfuls of people at most and not crowded at all like Boracay or Alona. The area was kept clean and the staff did a wonderful job to make sure the grounds of the property and leading up to it from the beach were nice. We have been to the party spots before and it’s all good if you are in that kind of mode, but if you want to chill and spend time with your partner this place has you covered. 

Overall we were very happy with our stay. This is NOT a Hilton, so don’t expect that, it’s a province, keep that in mind. 

Final thoughts... 

Nice place. Budget friendly. It hits the marks for what you need.

Easy, Breezy and Beautiful

Very good hotel.  we stayed in a beach bungalow.  price quality ratio really good.  clean room.  Good shower and warm water.  I would go to this hotel again.  Friendly staff.  We didn't think the hotel was bad. Nice beach.

Very good hotel

A local driver said this was a good place. Not so, no easy Access it's a good walk about 10 minutes no real road. Standard room is all thatwas a available. Small room, noisy air con CR not flushing properly. Towels were safer thin. Don't clean rooms daily or change bedding unless you requested it. Restaurant ... Well the food was decent, bit they close at 9 and turn out the lights even if you're still there. Pool looked unclean so I didn't chance it. Staff mostly helpful. Overall you get what you for, so don't expect much. On the beach is the best feature. Won't be going back.

Not a good experience

Cockroaches in the room, dirty and smelly bed sheets when we came to the resort, cleaning lady was cleaning next room before 6am so noisy, that my bed was shaking... Older, not comfortable wet rooms, not possible to ventilate without air-condition, which is placed right over your head by bed... Resort is nice just from outside and the beach is nice too if it's clean, but you have to use shoes to the water and go far away to swim...

Not recommended

The beach is unvelievably beautiful. Very calm, great even for kids. The sand, white and powdery. We had great weather. It was the perfect vacation except resorts nearby really ruined the vibe with their unbelievably loud karaoke singing. 

We got a deluxe room right in front of the beach. Sheets were not exactly pristine. And the bathroom smelled – think there was something wrong with their water system 

Restaurant was expensive and the food not that great. But we would walk to other restaurants nearby which we didn’t mind at all since the beach was just fantastic. We loved taking long walks at night. 

Most travellers complain about the access to the resort because of the need to walk. To be honest, it wasn’t bad at all. Didn’t mind the walk. It was just a 5-10 minute walk. And we were quite prepared for it (packed light). 

Overall, we didn’t let the little things ruin our vacation. Enjoyed it tremendously. The most annoying thing really was the loud karaoke singing.

Paradise...well, almost.

Perfectly located and friendly staff.But my experience went wrong because of the bugs in the bed I'm covered in bites,i killed 3 fleas last night in the bed and didn't sleep, and the resort told me they were no bugs, so they won't do anything for the prejudice, with at least 40 bites on my body Im more than sure they were bugs in this bed and im really disappointed.

Great view and friendly staff! place is 3-5min walk to the beach which is lovely! You can stroll around and relax with nature! The resort is easy to find when you have tour or island hopping guides!!! 

Awesome place

We stayed over night at this resort, however what booking sites like Agoda and Booking.com does not tell you is that this resort is in the middle of a right of way legal battle which means there is no direct way into the resort. You will have to enter through the Dumaluan Beach Resort entrance where you will have to pay an entrance fee. And if you are bringing a vehicle wirh you, pay 300 pesos for an overnight parking.

Upon entering there is a good 10 to 15 minute walk towards the resort. While I'd say the beachfront is pristine and awesomely beautiful... Walking up and down shoreline to and from the resort to Dumaluan's gate is tiresome.

Panglao Grande's view is great. The rooms are also okay but it has a hint of age especially the bathrooms.

Otherwise, everything is okay.
