Though the staff are friendly, the room that was booked to us was bad (room 204). Bed sheet/pillow smells awful, cr wall and flooring is dirty. The worst thing is I woke up with a number of bed bug bites...

Bad, Uncomfortable...

The new name of this hotel is now Ava Palm Suites (have checked other reviews and its the same hotel which is previously recordered here as Palawan Palm Suites). Our travel agency booked us here for a night and we find the hotel perfect for us as it is near the local market where you can buy cheap cashew nuts and the hotel is conveniently located just a minute from SM Puerto Princesa (and google map is very accurate when it says the hotel is just a minute of walking away from SM). The room is big enough for 3 with a single bed and a double bed. They provide bottled water, soap and shampoo in sachets. They ask for a Php200 deposit for the aircon and TV remote. Breakfast is simple but I definitely love their danggit. Staff are accomodating and courteous, from the front desk who assisted at night and in the morning and even the staff at the breakfast area who was very kind to answer our questions and gave us recommendations, same as the front desk.

Perfect location, friendly staff

The Palawan Palm Suites is located right across the street from the SM mall in Puerto Princesa which is perfect for shopping, eating, etc.  We stayed in a room for 4, with 3 beds.  There was a single bathroom with sink, and a separate sink and mirror outside the bathroom.  This helped everyone get ready in the morning.  We purchased the breakfast although with the mall nearby there are many options to eat every day.  We ordered some tours and the hotel was very easy for the bus to access.  The staff were very helpful.  The room faced the main road outside which created some challenges to sleep.  I would suggest to bring some ear buds or other sleep noise machine if you get a room near the main road.  Money changes at the mall are good.  Also close to the bay walk.  Overall, I would recommend.

The place is a good place to stay because of its nearness to main points in the city. You can easily access the city from here. The rooms are spacious and clean, they have hot and cold shower and the staff are welcoming. Though not easily seen outside because of small signage, the place is good. Booked here via Travelbook and they offered free breakfast with airport transfers. 

P.S. The breakfast was good. They have 3 varying types. 

Comfortable and Worthy Stay

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is great. It is very near to almost everything, except for the underground river and honda bay, but it's near SM puerto princesa and the public market. If you're loooking for a place to have dinner, it's just 10 minutes away from puerto princesa bay, where you can find lots of resto's. The staffs are friendly. We definetely recommend Palawan Palm Suites, and we will surely come back and stay there again.

Great stay

The location was good enough but the rooms were a little dingy and the lighting was terrible. The water was always a little too hot

Pricing considering, Nothing to add from the other posts. It's true. The pictures posted are really what u see aswell.
Just adding a point for the staff, they are simple, helpfull, they looking happy meaning good management arround.
We recommend for medium budget. 


Premium location

Location right across a new resort-looking Mall (SM Puerto Princesa). Rooms are spacious, hot shower, aircon is functional, cools you down even at the top floor and during mid-day. Ideal for budget traveller who needs great comfortable stay. Staff are friendly, but its no luxury hotel where youll be catered by bellboy, and apparently no elevator.
