The toilet produce yellowish color and bad smell. The roofdeck they are having party so loud music while guest could hear whole night while everyone wants to have rest after a long tour and the aircondition not working properly.
Singing along whole night. I would not recommend this budget inn.

Unpleasant stay

It was okay for short stay. It was not sparkling clean. Family room no. 9 was spacious enough for 3-4 persons. Bed was okay, very thin blankets provided. Bathroom was basic and needs more thorough cleaning. Location was good surrounded by shops and restaurants, very near the port. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, very basic. I didn't like the coffee provided because it was just instant coffee. Very poor WIFI connection specially inside the room. Staff and service needs improvements. For me the rates during our stay was a bit pricey. It was not worth the value. Not coming back here.

Good location, service needs improvement, not sparkling clean

We stayed for one night. Staff was very friendly, they also arrange a moto rent for me, the room was clean and air-conditioned, good location, close to the port and to the main shop street of El Nido. 

Pleasant stay 

My husband and I just came back from our El Nido trip and both of us had a great time.

We booked our van transfer and tours with them which went very well.

The inn is very near other resto and the port.

Our room had comfy beds, cold ac, clean comforters, hot and cold shower with strong water pressure and a tv with cable. 

Breakfast was nothing but amazing. We saw the owner who was humbly cleaning the tables along with his staff. The staff were also very warm and accomodating, especially the receptionist who coordinated things during our stay. 

This place is definitely a bang for your bucks,we will definitely book with them again when we go back.

Amazing stay!

stayed here for 4 days 3 nights with my family, 6 of us in total. here's my review:

Pros

good breakfast 
their staff named chin chin was very nice and accomodating
very clean rooms and toilet
they have little terrace which is overlooking the port area
dining area has nice ambiance but be prepared for lots of mosquitoes and flies
tour guide is cheerful and knowledgeable
good lunch served during island hopping

Cons

poor wifi had to go to ground or 3rd floor to get a decent wifi, no wifi at all inside our room
weak airconditioning, esp for us in a big room,even with fan still we were sweating inside 
island tours started very late, 1st day about 30 mins late, 2nd day 1 hr 30 mins late like we were 2nd to the last to leave the port. Everyone in the boat was so upset esp for us we have a child and had to wait under the sun for long! and when i asked for explanation the receptionist just said she doesnt know, that probably boatman had to get food first...?! it should have been organised b4 tour starts! i even sent message to their company on messenger and didnt even apologise or tried to explain what really happened? i felt ignored! 
receptionists are always on their phones, not attentive to needs of guests

Not worth the price, service needs to improve

We stayed at Joaquinn's for 4 nights. We had a very memorable amd enjoyable stay at the Inn. First off, the staff especially the owner Steph, was very accommodating. Steph herself is very hands on. We had some problems with the van to transport us from Puerto Princesa but she immediately found a solution for us. We got to the Inn safe and sound. I noticed that the gripe with some reviews here is because they booked via third parties. I believe it is best to book directly with them because we had a very hassle free experience. As for the rooms, we tempered our expectations by the amount we paid. At the rate they ask for, it would be unfair to expect 5 star level accommodations. So I am pleasantly surprised that we got a clean, functioning, and decent looking room. Of course it's not perfect. They can probably replace some bulbs here and there. But other than that, we have no complaints. We didn't experience the power outage some reviews are calling out. And we did have hot water all the time. The room had tiny and manual control airconditioning units which could probably use an upgrade but to be fair they served their purpose which is to keep us nice and cozy at night. As for breakfast, again expectations should be tempered by how much you pay for so you should expect very basic options. We are actually surprised that breakfast even came with the deal. Definitely a bang for your buck. The Inn is situated at the end of the cove near the Philippine Port Authority so if you are traveling to/from Coron, it's just a few steps away from the port. The good thing with it being situated there is, it is far enough to be shielded from the busy sounds of the area (party music, crowds, etc) but accessible enough to get to wherever you need to go. Another plus I felt should be mentioned is the fact that they own their own boat for island tours unlike the other hotels just rely on 3rd party boats. I felt that this was a better experience because the captain and crew are the same all throughout. They are entertaining and know how to make both locals and foreign visitors laugh. They are also genuinely concerned for your safety. So overall, it was a great time at Joaquinn's. When I come back to El Nido I would surely be a repeat customer.

Bang for your buck.

Beware , I booked 3 days stay Feb 3 to 6 through Expedia, when I arrived they said they don't deal with Expedia but yet my credit card was charged almost 150 USA dollars. Still trying to get my money back.
