A really nice place to stay. The employees are very friendly and helpfull. 
Rooms are clean, and if you want to they even change the beds every day. 
We had a little problem with our booking, but they helpt us out really good and fast. 
Warm water is not working between 12 and 6, but if you just ask they will turn it on for you. 
Breakfast was delicious, finally something else than just toast and jam. 



Awesome hostel!

The location is awsome. And most of the people who work there are realy nice. But there where never hot water so we had to tell them two hours in advanse. The rooms where freezing. No heat. There was one woman who was so unfrendly and always talked back to us if we asked for more paper and stuff. They also charged us in USdollars insted of SOL and where not really helpfull in getting the money back. I would not recommend this place.      

Great location, but would not recommend it

The hostel itself was okay the first time we stayed. However, on the second occasion when we returned late at night returning from Machu Pichu they had no recollection of our booking and tried to place us in a filthy hostel down the road. When we refused to stay they let us sleep in a room that needed repair work done. As it was late we felt we had no option. The bathroom ceiling had a hole in it and there was no running water. The next day we had a battle to get the room for a reduced price. I would never recommend anyone stay there. There are hundreds of hostels in Cusco and there is no need to stay in this one.

They lost our booking..... Late at night

This was our 1st hostel stay ever! And I would say it was a good experience for two 40 somethings! We stayed at the hostel before and after our jaunt to Machu Pichu. They stored our bags for us and ordered our taxis to and from the train station and even made us a lunch to eat on the train. The family is very nice and tried to communicate with us even though our Spanish is very poor! The rooms were clean and the beds had big heavy alpaca blankets to tuck under at night, which you will for sure need as it is extremely cold at night! The only downfall about the hostel was that it has no heat and is SO cold you have to wear a coat or heavy sweater all the time & We are from MN so we are used to the cold-so if we are cold....its cold! You feel very safe as they keep the outside door locked at all times so you have to be let in and out. it's also on a very cute street in San Blas away from the crazy Plaza so it's quiet and close to good restaurants and coffee shops.

Friendly & Affordable

At first sight it seems to be a nice hostel: clean rooms, nice location, breakfast buffet ok. But one of the staff members is not friendly at all. When we came back from our Machu Picchu trip we got another room than we had before, which was much smaller, dark and humid (there are no pictures of this room on booking.com). We haven't reserved THIS room and we should pay the same price! The woman was really annoyed and didn't want to understand our problem. She didn't make any effort. In the end after one hour of explaining and discussing we managed to get a very small discount, of which we had to remind them in the end. Ridiculous. Really not a good service.
Moreover, you always had to wait for someome to open the door, the shower was sometimes cold, the curtains in the bathroom were too short (so every time you took a shower you would flood the whole bathroom),some rooms don't even have windows, they are very cold and you could always hear the music from their restaurant next door.
