I have ba good experience and i love it place and want to go agian and they have a very good staff 🥰 i really enjoyed with my family and friends i will go angin soon 🥰 that was amazing experience and I recommend and you go and enjoy with your family and friends

Family trip

I visited multan for the first time in my life and i was looking for a comfort which i found in this great facility.services amd comfort of the rooms all were great.food was excellent as well.Front office was extremely helpful specially Mr,Nauman and Miss Sidra.I strongly recommend to stay in this hotel.

My wife and I foreigners of Pakistani Origin, who have driven from our home country South Africa all the way to Pakistan.  

We were on our way back to Karachi after over 3 months of travelling Pakistan and needed to stay overnight in Multan. We had seen Hotel de Shalimar back in January when we stayed at a guesthouse nearby and thought we will check it out. 

We were greeted by Daniyal behind reception and shown two rooms. We negotiated the price and informed him that we were foreign as we knew not all hotels are allowed to keep foreigners. His attitude immediately changed and he asked us if we had a marriage certificate. We obviously had this so I pulled our car in into their parking lot and went in with both passports and marriage certificate in hand. 

He looked at it and immediately dismissed it telling us they could not accept this. We were infuriated as this was the first place in over 3 months that had asked us for this. It was humiliating enough for us to be asked for this document, and worse that after we obliged he just tossed it aside telling us that our relationship should show in the passport and proceeded to show us a Pakistani passport.

This after we had told him that we had foreign passports. We kicked up a fuss and he just said to us that we should leave it and they choose not to give us a room. We did leave but not until we explained to him loudly enough how to speak to customers. 

When we asked to speak to the manager, he said he was the manager and we asked to speak to the owner he said he was the same as the owner. His arrogance frustrated us even more and seeing this another man who was until then relaxing on a single seater couch behind the reception decided to intervene and apologise on his behalf. We did not however receive an apology from Daniyal.

In Pakistani culture we were his guests (whether we stay at the hotel or not) and he humiliated us which is unforgivable.

Many other hotels respectfully denied us rooms (due to us being foreign) and referred us to the few that would give us a room. We did find a room at Sindbad hotel after much frustration.
