Marvelous multi-generational farm property, just 10 minutes drive from Flam. Accomedations are basic; the kitchenette is small, the bedding is Ikea-style, and the soundproofing between rooms is non-existent. You won't be spending much time inside as the grounds are beautiful and adventures are at your doorstep. 

Location is perfect for somewhere to stay while doing the Flam fjord cruise. Owners are friendly, speak impeccable English, and are more then generous with local guide tips.

First off, let me just say how lovely the hosts are! We got stranded in Flåm when an avalanche stopped our bus from running, and the owners of the place came and picked us up. Lovely people too.

As for the accommodation, it's well equipped, and the little kitchenette is surprisingly useful if you want to cook your own food or prepare some lunch for a bit of hiking. The shower is great, the beds comfy (and fully made up... ignore the old reviews that state otherwise), and the surroundings are beautiful. Town is a 2-3km walk, although the owners offered us bikes (we didn't take them up on this), and there is a nice waterfall 10 minutes walk away.

There are some downsides. The building comprises a number of apartments, and the walls are exceptionally thin. We were unlucky enough to have two separate noisy families next door for the two nights we stayed who decided to rearrange the furniture at 1am, or just talk loudly and incessantly. 

Overall, well recommended, but bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Great place to stay if you want to visit Aurdalen and Flåm. With car: 5 minutes into Aurdal, 10 minutes to Flåm.

Clean room, friendly owner, fair pricing and superb breakfastpackage from the local bakery.

We enjoyed our stay and will surely return next time we want to visit this area.

The room was cosy with a small kitchen for cooking my meals. Room had a nice view too. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. I lost my drone during my trip there and wanted to borrow a long pole during my search for the drone in case it was stuck in the tree. They helped to find a long wooden stick for me to do so.

The accommodation was set in a beautiful valley with gorgeous rapids across the road. The location was good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was only a short drive to Audland which had everything we needed and with hot plates and a small oven in the room, we were able to cook our own dinner however there were eating out options in Audland if you wanted. The room was clean and tidy with a set of bunks and a single bed and although the linen was supplied, we had to make our own beds. The bathroom and wifi were also adequate. It was a basic setup which was fine for us as it was just an overnight stop on our way to the Flåm railway about a 15-20 minutes drive away. 

After a long day of driving, we checked and greeted by a lovely lady from Nepal. She showed us to our room. It was very clean, simple a comfortable place. Nice hot shower. We coooked up a yummy stir fry dinner on the hot plate. Very quiet nights sleep

Family stay, summer vacation July 2021

Pleasant surprise

My wife and I stayed here in July.  There are a couple of buildings full of rooms and the owners house is over to the left.  Our room was a basic room with a kitchenette.  It had a fridge but not TV.  Room was clean and could have slept 3-4 people comfortably.  Needed hand towels in the bathroom.  There was a table fan we used because the nights were pretty hot while we were here.  It is out in the country away from everything.  Parking is free.

My family and I spent one night here, in apartments 5 and 6. The facilities were not the most modern or up to date, but they functioned well and the apartments were clean and tidy. We hadn't thought to check if there were TV's (which there aren't), but luckily the free wifi worked perfectly and allowed us to watch netflix on the iPad later in the evening. There was a small stove top, oven, kettle and fridge in the room which allowed us to make our own dinner and breakfast. The bedding was comfortable, and despite reading in other reviews that the linen was crappy disposable paper like sheets that you had to hire, we were supplied with normal bed linen, bath towels and tea towels. The blinds did a fantastic job at blocking out the light during the night, and everyone slept very well despite being woken in the early hours of the morning by the man next door who seemed to be trying very hard to clear some stubborn phlegm from his throat (tip: bring earplugs as the walls seem to be paper thin when the room is otherwise silent). Being only a 20 minute drive from Flåm and Stegastein lookout, I would definitely stay here again.

Not bad at all!

We stayed there one night before going to Flåm for sightseeing and cruise (anything in Flam was much more expensive). 
The guesthouse is located in a valley near Aurland and 20 minutes drive from Flåm. There is a nice waterfall and river nearby and surrounding mountains look beautiful.
We were given a room with ensuite facilities, kitchenette, double bed and additional loft bed. 

The room was dated, so was the toilet. The stove was so old that knob temperature settings were totally worn out and were recreated using black marker. Fridge produced awful humming noise to the point it was impossible to sleep with - had to turn it off. Shower cube leaked water on the floor. Window blinds did not block the light enough so it was impossible to get the room dark. Pillows were wafer thin, so were the towels.

Internet was free and worked reasonably well (sufficient for Netflix).

Overall, yes it is inexpensive but management is highly advised to spend some money on repairs.
