nice location for business trip, holiday and the food was okay, thou rained all through my stay but the hotel was not messy , the staffs wears a smile and always willing to assist , i would love to repeat my visit one of these days

Good place

The staff at the Transcorp Calabar were amazing with a smile and a readiness to help.
The rooms are kept impeccable for service.
 Response time to exigent requests is very encouraging.
I have stayed twice at the Transcorp Calabar and I've enjoyed the ambience and service at both times, The Bamboo Bar, Poolside Bar, Karaoke and more.

Amazing Service

I came to have breakfast on the 21/3/2019 but i was discouraged by the choices available.

It was a matter of a big brand not living up to expectation.

Staffs look tired and exhausted when it was time to pay for my bill the cashier was unsure of how to go about it, I had to wait for another employee to come help her out after waiting for about 20 minutes.

As a stakeholder within the hospitality industry the level of service rendered was below average knowing fully how big the brand name stands among other hotels in calabar.

I will suggest a more diversed buffet going forward and retraining of frontline staffs.

Generally the hotel is clean

Buffet was a disappointment 

Stayed for 1 night due to outbound  flight cancellation.  Checking in was fast with very efficient from office staff. Was upgraded at no additional cost. I was impressed with the buffet breakfast Will definitely recommend others to stay at this hotel. Great location.

Relatively good enough quality by Calabar standards. However, pillows were too hard and oversized - making them unfit-for-purpose. Had a couple of facility management challenges in the bathroom - loss of water  an undersized toilet seat with a seat cover collapsing on me, and loss of running hot water overnight. Breakfast menu is in need of enhancement in order to appeal to a diverse guest population. The pool bar area is in dire need of a major upgrade. Evidence of neglect around the hotel. But overall, when compared to certain other hotels in Calabar - it is still the hotel to be at.

A memorable stay in Calabar

Staff support is very good, professional and supportive. Rooms are very clean and furnished with high quality materials. The compound can be cleaner with unused or non functional machines moved out of site. The flat screen TV is old fashioned. The bathroom is nice with a large mirror and marble slab and bathtub.

Very good, best in town, needs upgrade

Good room sizes and friendly staff.
It could do with a small refurb (especially bathrooms).

Internet was a bit slow.
Very convenient location and near the airport.
Good is okay and nice environment and spacious.

Average hotel.
Linen was old. A few dark spots. Property was equally old. Not too clean table mats in the restaurant.
Not all staff were not up and doing although laundry and restaurant staff were satisfactory.

The room has a damp smell. One can barely breathe.

Right from the reception,  you can perceive the damp smell in the air. A hotel of this status should be able to deal with this problem. 

On the positive side, their food menu is excellent and they have very good staff.

Can be better but still the best available

Good location and good customer service experience. However the rooms were not well lit and the generator noise was much. The breakfast wasn’t nice. The wifi was good. The television had few channels which wasn’t good enough.
