Hacienda San Pedro is such a cute and wonderful place. The hotel was so nice and the food was amazing. The staff was also so friendly and the property, terrace, pools, and rooms were so nice. I would love to come back and visit! I cannot recommend this place enough.

Global Brigades Spring Break Nicaragua Trip

Popo could not have been a better host! It felt more like he was welcoming us to his home then his hotel. So many antiques, so many stories, so much history in that beautiful place. Jenny is it one of the most hard-working hotel managers I've ever seen! The spirit of the property was very joyful and welcoming. The grounds were always beautiful. The entire staff was focused on our comfort and positive experience.  Mission accomplished!

New friends

We stayed here one evening when we found that the hotel we first chose was not open any more....how lucky we were!  This hacienda was beautiful and comfortable and what a shame if we hadn't discovered it.  The host was charming and personable and made sure everything was attended to. It was very convenient to town and an easy walk.  The room was cozy, clean, and nicely decorated.  We enjoyed it so much we stayed a second night and would definitely make this a destination if we are back in the country in the future.

One of our favorite accomodations!

I visited this hotel recently and was pleasantly surprised by everything there! You feel like you are sleeping in some sort of a museum, surrounded by nature, a nice pool, really comfortable rooms and such an interesting background history! I love properties with charm and this is for sure one whose got it.

An oasis!

Stayed 2 different nights. Owner is usually there and is appreciative. Hotel food is not bad for the price. Place is secure, safe and comfortable. Room prices are average for hotel type. Will stay again when the need arises.

Clean with a/c, decent

We did not stay at the hotel but only had dinner at the restaurant. We had been told that the restaurant was one of the better in the area and it did not disappoint.

The food was very good, the ambiance was outstanding, and the service was very good. We ate out on their front patio dining area, over looking the front grounds. It rained while we ate and the dripping rainforest trees along with gorgeous flowers were such a beautiful backdrop.

Food: Three of us ordered the Parrillada, which is  basically a meat platter (see attached picture) of spare ribs, pork, beef & chicken kabob and sausage, with beans, rice, cole slaw and potatoes. It was an immense amount of food - more than I could finish. It as $10/plate as a single but you could get it for two or four people - in the latter it dropped to about $7/plate.The rest of the group were vegetarians (balanced out the group, eh?) and had trouble finding interesting choices - they ended up getting some pasta dishes. later the chef came out and was very interested to know what we thought about the dinner. We mentioned the issue about the vegetarian choices, and she said, she was willing to make whatever we wanted. She said next time to ask her out to the table and work out some vegetarian choices. 

While we were waiting for dinner the host came back and took us on a tour of the facility. We saw one room next to his wife's collection of Virgin Mary art that she had created. The art was well done even though I'm not into religious art. The rooms looked very nice - clean and well maintained. The building was over 100 years old and originally a coffee plantation. The walls and all structures were substantial and as a result, very quiet. We visited the pool as well as saw the large grounds out back used for huge celebrations. That area was a large asphalt lot and not as pretty but the rest of the ground were very beautiful. Beautiful flowers, bushes and trees everywhere.

It is one of the best restaurants in the area and I would definitely go back again. They definitely want to make you happy, so be sure to talk to the chef if you want something special.
