We stayed one night in the Gardeners rest room. The room is very comfortable & has everything you need. Walking distance to the centre of town makes it very easy to get around. will defiantly stay there again.  Clare & Martin are great hosts.

Top notch B&B

We stayed in the Gardener’s Rest room, which is beside the main house with its own entrance.  Our 2-night stay gave us one full day to discover Blenheim using the high quality bikes kindly provided at no charge.  Clare’s delicious, bountiful breakfast provided all the nourishment we needed for nearly the whole day, and her restaurant recommendation for dinner was spot on.

The title of this review doesn’t really capture the extent to which Clare and her honey bees tend to the massive garden she maintains.  You have to see it to believe.  We highly recommend this B&B.

Surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens

We stayed at Botanica for two nights and were disappointed considering the excellent reviews it receives. It was the most expensive B and B of our 5 weeks in New Zealand. We feel that the service offered by the B and B does not reflect the price charged. Yes, the garden is very pretty but in other areas it is not so good. In all other B and Bs we were treated as welcome guests but at Botanica we felt very much part of a business process.

A few of the positives……The Gardener’s rest is well equipped with a comfortable bed. Also, Clare very kindly let me use her washing machine.

A few of the Negatives…. the property is in a very ordinary location in the middle of town. The Gardeners Rest is a converted part of the garage and the owners washing line is adjacent to the entrance. We are always very respectful of other people’s property and didn't need to be greeted with the instruction to respect the carpet flooring of the room.

The breakfast was a weak point. Yes there was a bowl of fruit, but the granola was in shop bought packets which were unceremoniously taken out of the cupboard and plonked on the table after our arrival in the kitchen for breakfast.

All in all, not what you expect for the hefty price.

This is a very good bed and breakfast location, ideally situated if visiting the wineries near Blenheim and within easy walking distance of local amenities including restaurants.

We stayed in the Gardner’s Rest, one of two locations within the owners Martin and Clare’s property, this was a cottage in the grounds of the garden and was well equipped and very comfortable.

Breakfast is served in Clare’s kitchen by her and is delicious with a wide range of choice including her own fruit and honey from her own bees.

Would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Lovely B&B Well Located In The Heart Of Wine Country 

Only two rooms in this garden-surrounded B&B and we were lucky enough to get one of them!  Serene and spotless, with a delightful hostess, busy bees in the garden, and fruit trees loaded with plenty.  Good coffee, local honey and we're off for wine tasting.  Going to be a good day!

Botanica B&B was amazing! We stayed in the Gardener's Rest room which was beautifully decorated and so clean. Clare made sure we had everything we needed, including tea and coffee making facilities, lovely toiletries and insect repellant! The homemade breakfast was delicious and we loved having some honey from Clare's bees. The location of the B&B is great and really close to the centre of town for shopping and some restaurants. Clare advised us on which restaurant to book and arranged a wine tour for us which was really helpful whilst we were on the move around NZ. I'd definitely recommend Botanica!

Lovely clean airy B&B with beautiful garden

Whether it’s for business or pleasure, a honeymoon or traveling through, I highly recommend staying at Botanica Bed & Breakfast. Comfy, clean, fresh, modern but charm too. Totally beautiful. Relaxing in the garden was fabulous too. Clare & Martin are excellent hosts and will look after you very well. Thank you! I’ll be back! 

Relaxing business trip! 

Were met by Clare who was very friendly, welcoming us to her wonderful corner of the world. We had the garden suite, It was very private but just steps away from a very good breakfast complete with her own honey. Clare had mentioned to us in an email before we had arrived a few places she thought we should see and were not disappointed in her suggestions. A pleasant stay, great company and a jar of honey to bring home to be enjoyed during our winter. Thanks you Clare and Martin.

A garden paradise

Centrally located but away from heavy traffic. Exactly what's needed for charging batteries before traveling further. The home-produced honey is wonderful! Delightful garden! Splendid shower in an excellent bathroom!
