Riad Le Calife

Riad Calife is a wonderful little hotel in the old part of Fes. The property and rooms are beautifully decorated with a blend of Moorish and French architecture. The rooftop terrace and restaurant area offers a great view of the oldest part of the city. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Highly recommended!

This is a great place to stay when visiting Fes. We had originally booked this hotel back in October 2020 but could not come due to the pandemic but we were happy to return in March 2025 and it did not disappoint. Everyone at the Riad is very nice and welcoming and always made us feel at home. It is situated in a quieter part of town, which is nice, but you can easily get to the Medina in a few minutes. The hotel itself is very charming and the room we had, amethyst, had all the essentials. There was ample space Inside and had a nice view of the inner courtyard. We enjoyed the roof deck every single day we were there around sunset and had a great view of the city. The breakfast was nice and was served on the rooftop as well with that beautiful panorama view of the city. There are a lot of nice touches at this hotel but made it special where the people there. I would highly recommend this Riad and would definitely come back next time and fest.

I cannot recommend Raid Le Calife enough. The best place I have stayed in for years.If you want to experience Fez and Morocco, then this is the place for you.A great location and wonderful rooms and facilities. The owners, Yasmine and Alex and their excellent team, were always there to help and make our stay memorable.I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

We spent a couple of nights in Riad Le Calife, and has been a MEMORABLE experience. 

Yasmine and Alex (together with all the staff) were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay; They arranged the transfers to/from the airport as well as the day tour of the Medina, both services completely worth it and I do recommend booking them.

In addition, they were more than willing to help in any aspect, and were really passionate while explaining an overview of the city (e.g. districts, things to do, etc.), and also suggesting plans for our last morning before leaving.

We also tried the restaurant the day of the arrival, which was fairly combenient after the journey and MUST be tried; All the starters, main dish and dessert were delicious, specially the main (lamb tajine), so tasty and tender.

Having a delicious cup of tea in the rooftop during the sunset with incredible views of the medina was also an awesome plan right after the medina tour!

The decoration of the Riad is just exquisite; every single detail, picture, furniture, flooring, etc. From every single corner in the "patio", to the room itself. Pictures cannot show the beauty of the whole thing.

All in all, an experience that surpased every single expectation and that I would recommend a thousand times!

Am amazing experience at what must be the friendliest  and most helpful Riad in Fes. The owners and Staffa anticipated our every wish from transportation to and from and suggestions for places to go with our wonderful guide, Amal. The beds were lovely and comfortable  and their cook did everything to make our meals memorable. Cannot say enough positive things!

What an amazing find! This riad is beautiful both architecturally and its furnishings. Alex and Yasmine have created a gem that I would highly recommend. It's situated in the medina with just a short walk to the souks. The staff could not have been more helpful with organising restaurants and taxis. The food was also fantastic. This is an absolute gem of a hotel!  We received the warmest possible hospitality from the owners (Alex and Jasmine).  They made us feel so welcome and showed so much pride in Fez and Morocco.  Our room was absolutely luxurious and a real treat.  All of the staff at the hotel were warm, welcoming, and so helpful, whether with dinner recommendations or sights to see.  We are veteran travellers that spend up to 60 nights per year in hotels, but the Riad Le Calife stands out.  I cannot say enough good things about it.  We will definitely be back.

This place is beautiful. However, like all Riads I have stayed in there is no elevator. The Riad was not accessible by car and if you wish to venture out, you will need a guide. We decided to go nowhere to prevent the panic and anxiety of being lost in a foreign country with no language skills.

We had a wonderful stay and were exceeding well taken care of. A beautiful Riad with very lovely owners and staff.
