After we got our room straightened out and got the one we actually booked, our stay was fantastic. The space was spacious, deck space was excellent, the cleaning staff were fantastic, the grounds were beautiful and well kept.  There is a disco beside the property which was active Thursdays thru Saturday Erving ending between 3-5 am. If your room is at the back of the room facing the disco, it will keep you awake. Our room was facing the ocean with a room between us and the rear of the building so we could isolate ourselves from the sound and could get a good night sleep.

Los Tules extended stay

Los Tules is a beautiful and well maintained property with an excellent restaurant on site. However last year when we stayed there, my wallet was stolen from my room. A week later my friend had a $10,000 ring stolen from her room while she was at the pool. Management was no help. This year we requested no maid service but they continued to enter our room. Bottom line is watch your valuables very closely at this resort.

Beware of Staff theft

For this non-all-inclusive resort, this was a good way to spend ten days -- close to the airport, a shopping mall, the maritime harbor and a taxi ride away from downtown. Wonderful view of the bay. Main pool area close to the restaurant was a place to meet new people. Bananas flambe tableside, and Cobb salad, were very good.

Relaxed stay close to the airport and beach!

Outdated hotel that has not been updated or kept up.  Uncomfortable outdoor furniture without umbrellas.  Old kitchen equipment with dull knives.  Uncomfortable bed.   Staff that is not particularly service oriented.

Stay away

We recently stayed at los tules in puerto Vallarta and had a horrible experience. Our room was broken into and they stole our passports, shoes and other valuable items. The hotel security is fake and the management does not care to help. A police report was filed and the hotel would not give us a copy of the incident report. There were bugs and lizards inside the room. There are absolutely no cameras and as a tourist this is not a safe place to stay especially if your traveling with family. The security guard at the front gate let’s anyone through the gate and does not even question or ask if they are staying there or visiting. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you want to feel safe during your trip.

Room broken into and items stolen

Not satisfied, needs more activities and shades. Early checking and late check out. Staff more friendly and helpful. Needs a gym in door pool. Fee grill’s and equipment. More plants in the balcony it acumúlate lot of bugs. 


Very bad

My family (3) were super unhappy with the AirBnB we had rented in the Conchas Chinas area so we found ourselves, on Christmas Day, searching for a different place to stay. After a couple unsuccessful attempts at other places along the beach, we decided to check out Los Tules.

You guys turned our family trip around, a complete 180°. You happened to have a huge place, ground floor, facing the beach, next to the pool/restaurant available and when I tell you it was perfect, I am in no way exaggerating. Yasir at the desk was patient, kind and made us feel like we weren’t a burden despite not having a reservation. The location was perfect with grocery right across the street. We even reserved for this coming Christmas week in the same place, we loved it so much.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for saving our holiday vacation and turning it into one to remember (fondly). We look forward to returning.

Holiday Vacation Rescued

Having stayed at other fabulous resorts in Mexico, this one would be lowest on the list. The best part is the beach location and the beautiful grounds. Once inside the door, look out! Kitchens are not equipped with the standard condiments to get through day one, like coffee, salt, pepper, dish soap, water bottles or paper towels. Furniture in our unit was worn. The beds were extremely comfortable with new mattresses. The patio decks were great, but we only had three lounge chairs for a suite that sleeps 10. It was very quiet at night and the ocean waves easily drowned out the traffic on the front street (if your building is ocean side). Access to the area is difficult and it is not a great walking location for restaurants, shops or groceries, as there is a 4-lane highway in the front entrance. There are no pool tables and no one to take a drink or food order at the pool. There not nearly enough pool chairs, and many chairs sit with towels saving them through the day for someone to show up late in the afternoon. Signs warn against this, but it is not enforced and chairs are claimed before 9:00 in the morning. Also, we did not find the hotel staff to be friendly. I can not name one person who seemed to be enjoying their job or eager to help guests.
