Hotel Dainzú

This is a quaint, clean and welcoming little treasure right in the centre of town, the staff is welcoming and full of information!  Exceptional hospitality.  A cute garden to sit and enjoy a coffee or read a book.  No air conditioner but a fan that keeps the room cool at night.

Lovely stay at Hotel Dainzu. The hotel was in the best location for accessing the centre of Oaxaca and other neighbourhoods around. Very friendly staff and the cleaning of the room every day was fantastic. Nice court yard to chill in as well!

My friend and I were classic idiot tourists, unable to speak any Spanish. The staff here were so helpful, advising us on transport, tours etc. 
Showers were hot, room was comfy & clean. They also have a water fountain in the lobby which is great if you don’t want to be adding to more plastic in the world. Beautiful courtyard to chill out in.

The center garden is enchanted and it will drag you to it every time you open your room door. The hotel is not fancy neither spacious but the vibe and the service will win you. Excellent price for been just two block from the 'Zocalo' and just beside there is one of the best new restaurant for your money in Oaxaca; 'Cabuche' (google it or look at it in Facebook). Rooms are essentially good for a short or a long stay, I stayed with my Mom for 16 days and we had a very good time with no issue to report or to regret. This place fulfill any travel demand for a good price. No pets, no wheelchair access, the Wi-Fi is noticeable good and the personnel is extremely friendly and helpful. There's 2 room with ac that work ok. I will consider this hotel before anybody else if location is your demand.

The property made arrangements for our taxi to be there at 5:00 am to the airport and called our room to let us know when they arrived.The beds were too hard & not that comfortable.

Hotel Dainzu is in a great location for seeing Oaxaca. Very pretty inside and out, with rooms arranged around a garden patio - which was terribly loud until after 12 on a busy Sunday nite. Pro: clean linens and floors; staff arranged taxis and changed currency for us; water bottles in the room, refills in lobby; heavy curtains made it nice & dark for sleeping; convenience store 1/2 block away. Cons: not a great shower or sink; sub-par instant coffee in the lobby.

It's a basic hotel with no breakfast, but room and service was good. They had extra blankets for the cold weather and a TV. People are helpful and location was close to other places in downtown. Our Sierra Norte trip group was able to do pickup from this hotel.

The hotel is located nearby the downtown. It's cozy and clean. I could definitely stay again here in my next visit. 
The prettiest thing is the inside garden and you can have a good night of sleep. Nearby there're restaurants and coffee shops.

This hotel is ideally located 2 blocks from the Zocalo. It is clean, and has a charming court yard with two small tables and chairs for relaxing. You'll also find couch and chairs in the lobby. They arranged our all day tour to Monte Alban, Arrazola, Cuilapam, and San Bartolo Coyotepec. We were there for La Guelaguetza which would be peak season and payed approx $45 US dollars per night. Because it is a courtyard type hotel, sound echos a bit so hopefully you'll have quiet neighbors. Hotel could improve its ratings with more comfortable beds. Otherwise highly recommend. We'll go back.

The location of the hotel is excelent, just a few blocks from the zocalo, so you are near everything! This is the best part of the hotel. 

The rooms are spacious, bed is comfortable, good shower. Cleaning is lacking a bit, also front denk staff seems to be in their own world the whole time. Wifi is not very good if you have to work a bit as some of us do on holidays. It keeps disconnecting after a few minutes. 

Overall, recommended for the location and the price.
