Hostal Ecoplaneta

I cannot speak highly enough of Hostel Ecoplaneta and it's owners Jose and Ricardo. As a global traveller for over 50 years have never encountered such excellent service and a picturesque setting for such a budget price. These guys go out of the way to make your holiday the best ever. They provide airport pickup and drop off which is much cheaper than any taxis and I have even seen them assist other distressed travellers not staying with them by transporting them to the nearest bus stop for their hotel. Ecoplaneta had only been open 2 weeks when I initially stayed there and is gradually building up cliental. Both Jose and Ricardo speak Spanish fluently and English well as a second language. Jose and Ricardo are great hosts. They will organise tours to Cenotes, Islands or beaches, visits to bookshops, hairdressers or markets. The service is impeccable and the Hostel itself is absolutely magic with a tranquil setting, lovely gardens, swimming pool, clean comfortable beds and rooms . It is located only 15 minutes drive from the airport and away from the main busy part of Cancun. I enjoyed my time so much there that I stayed on for extra days and then returned twice more on my travels. The hospitality is abundant and the guests have a communal space and kitchen to mix and share fun together. There are private doubles, triples or family rooms all with their own bathroom and all are clean and comfortable with fresh linen and towels provided. I am trying to encourage Jose and Ricardo to put up their prices, given the amazing value they are currently providing to travellers. Ecoplaneta is one of my all time favourite places to stay and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting one of the best personable accommodation experiences of their lives.I can't wait to return for more visits.
