We were in Bucerias for six weeks, and thought we would check out the Canadian resort for maybe next year’s vacation, NOT! Old run down place. The rooms they showed us were dingy and dirty. The hallways to the room were filthy. The girl at the reception was very disinterested in us, however, Jesus, did do better, trying with his broken English and phone translator to answer our questions. They wanted three thousand a month, for what basically is a fleabag, rundown hotel! Do not waste your time or money!

Old run down  worn out shoe

Settled in alongside a beautiful estuary, this place is clearly mismanaged and sadly misplaced. From run down rooms to rock hard mattresses and pillows. It’s as if the owners went on a permanent vacation and don’t put anything back into their investment. I’ve never felt so unwelcomed upon arrival. Lobby was filthy with their resident cat hair all over the seating.  Anything on the grounds and including the lobby furniture that is made of wood is rotting and bug eaten. I would definitely never recommend this place to anyone.  It’s just flat gross. Not a “resort”.

Waste of beautiful ubicación 

Be advised that this place is run down and poorly managed. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the Gardner/ doorman/ handyman/ bellboy, whom asked us to wait so he could take 10 minutes to retrieve a cart to help us with our bags. We were led to an office/lobby with bug eaten cat hair covered furniture, to check in and asked by the attendant for proof our reservation. 
I provided our prepaid reservation info. She insisted that my reservation was invalid and I needed to pay a cash deposit until the reservation showed up in her system. 

Checked into dilapidated room #1, where the fridge, when plugged in sent sparks flying. Then to the replacement room which stinks of humidity and is run down.

From the grounds, to the service, to the habitations. This is not and should never bear the name “Resort” in its title. Well maybe “last resort”. 

Until now, I have never written a bad review. Just felt it necessary to warn anyone who might consider this place. 

Dilapidated and poorly managed 

Despite being a small hotel, it has a lot of garden and a beautiful lake full of different birds, some that I have never seen before. The staff is super attentive, the hotel is a little bit old but you can see that they are taking good care of it. The rooms are very spacious and have all the services.

We love it

We liked the place very much because it is located in a golf course and there were not many people around so it was quiet and perfect to rest. We were given a beautiful ground floor suite in front of the lake that has a beautiful view, trees,  lots of birds, ducks, turtles and even crocodiles, there is a protection fence for safety and we had the chance to feed the turtles and see one crocodile very close without any danger. Nevertheless, it is a must to consider that it is approx a 15 minutes ride from the closer beach and if you do not want to walk (15 min) crossing the golf course to exit the resort, it is necessary either to drive or call an Uber (taxis are extremely abusive there). Yet in the outside avenue, there are many buses that can take you to some nice beaches around. All the staff is very kind and serviceable, the rooms are clean and bedding is comfortable.

Special place to stay

After having a hard time finding this small resort, we were pleasantly surprised at the tranquil location, value and layout. We had a king sized bed in a very large bedroom, full kitchen and wildlife, including alligators, small and very large iguanas and tons of birds to entertain us especially at the crack of dawn.
The staff was very pleasant and gracious. The nightwatchman showed us a shortcut to the Mega store along the golf course.
Would definitely return the next time we use PV as a base to explore wonderful Mexico.

Relaxing, quiet, pleasant staff and an oasis in busy PV coast

We enjoy very much our stay, it is a nice little place, with great view to the lagoon - lot of birds, turtles, and even alligators. It is quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was good. The service from Lety, the manager, was outstanding. 
There are some maintenance details in general but the room was very clean. Definetely, we will come back.

Good place to relax

Found thru expedia, which was truly misrepresented.  Was actually 3 miles out of buceries, and only way to beach was by 10 minute car ride.  But, once we got over the downsides, we enjoyed our peace and quiet.  Lagoon right outside room, with alligators, hundreds of a variety of birds and of course iguanas.  Beautiful pool.  Rooms large and clean.  Basic kitchen needs were met.  Be prepared for no English here.  Nice retreat.
