I stayed at the Tanak Nabalu homestay as part of a group tour, it was my first ever homestay! I was nervous at first, but once we arrived it was such a great experience that I would highly recommend. Many of the families speak English and can communicate well. Everyone in the village is excited to share their culture with you and is interested to learn about the guests as well. We were able to view and participate in cultural dances and music! The families also prepared an enormous and truly delicious feast for us! I am glad that I was able to visit for my first homestay and look forward to doing more in the future!
