A lovely stay. Lots to do and excellent food. The cottages are very comfortable with a great view of the grounds and the animals often come to visit.

All staff are pleasant and polite and work hard to make the stay the best it can be.

Another amazing stay at Game Haven - thank you! A fantastic team of staff, beautifully spacious rooms (with a bath!) and delicious food in huge portions. Try the espresso martini at the bar! We love this place and so close to Blantyre that it's impossible not to check it out...

100% awesome once again!

I stay at Game Haven every time I come to Malawi and the property is beautiful, the rooms are clean, and the food is great.  It's a gorgeous escape from the busy city, and the animals (zebras, giraffes, etc) are wonderful.  This is Africa, so hot water & wifi isn't reliable and you need to come with low expectations, but other than that it's great.

Oh, and if I could make a suggestion for the cottages, it would be to rip up the carpet and just have cement floors, perhaps with Macoha rugs.  Carpets never seem as clean as polished cement.

Great place!

We enjoyed everything from the quiet atmosphere, seeing the game,good food and the smart rooms.I look foward to another trip with my family.My children were particularly excited to see the animals. They also liked the playground.

Game Haven the right  place to be for the whole family

Our team of 8 missionaries enjoyed two nights at Game Haven Lodge on our way out of Malawi following a two week mission trip.  It was a wonderful way to close out our experience in Africa.  The staff was friendly and helpful.  We all appreciated the comfort of a warm shower and a comfortable bed.  We stayed 4 persons in the Nyala suite rooms and there was plenty of room for all.  The food was excellent.  The amenities were outstanding.  We enjoyed the game drive, a guided bicycle tour, the bird watching walk.  The grounds are beautiful and the guides are knowledgeable.  The animals are everywhere and it was thrilling to view them roaming free range about the property.  They seem to be thriving in their natural habitat.  I would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly to anyone traveling to Malawi.

Post mission trip slice of heaven

Our family loved the weekend away! The energy at that place is peaceful and serene. The activities are very fun. The animals are amazing! Rooms are spacious. Staff is very friendly and the food is delicious! We loved it!!

We enjoyed our weekend getaway at Game Haven. The staff was pleasant. The food just out of this world. The room we slept in was nice and clean. The game drive was worth it. I will go there the next time I visit Malawi.

Relaxing atmosphere

I and my family enjoyed our stay. The views and how friendly your staff are made our stay more enjoyable. The prices against the activities were all reasonable and affordable. The food was so delicious and lovely. Morning views are so excellent.

Lovely and a beautiful place

When you need a bit of 'time-out', looking for tranquillity, a spot in nature, good food and comfort, this is the place to be. The location is amazing, very convenient and not far from bustling Blantyre and the rolling green tea estates of Thyolo,  The roaming game on the estate and the spectacular sunsets add to the experience . The staff are very helpful and efficient and the restaurant offers a wide variety of choices to suit anyone's dietary preferences. Definitely a worthwhile visit.
