Bliss Suite Hotel

Our stay at the hotel was very cosy and conducive as it was walking distance to Hamra, Corniche and the AUB. It was easy to get a taxi from here too. 
The room is spacious, overlooking a beautiful view of the sea and AUB. The free breakfast is delicious; they serve zaatar, labneh and manakish with fresh tomatoes and olives. The best part of our stay is the friendly staff, especially Noor, who helped us a lot.

Walking distance to everything, very helpful staff

Lived at this hotel for about four months, during a stay at AUB. The rooms and the hotel, in general, is clean, and the staff is super helpful. Lived on the 11th flood with a view over the sea and AUB, and it was nice waking up to that every day. The breakfast consisted of "regular" food. The beds were comfortable, and even though there were a lot of AUB students living there, it was nice and quite. 

But, there are some downsides to this place as well.
- You have to tell the staff when you want cleaning, they do not clean unless you do.
- The internet is crap. There is one router to every floor, but still it is slow. 
- They kind of messed up the things we needed at our room. We told them how many we were in the room, but we always got fewer towels, they took the blankets from the extra beds ect. 
- We did not have the possibility to make out own food, as we were promised.

Gret hotel if you want to live cheap for a longer period.

I stayed there 10 nights during Aug, the hotel overall is average, it's specialized for University Students during winter and for regular guest in summer, the hotel is not really renewed although they renewed many rooms, but still need more to renew specially the bathrooms, the staff are amazing, nice, with high quality of hospitality and helpful. breakfast is very poor which is expected being specialized for students. I would recommend this hotel only if you consider your stay as Bed & Breakfast, so the whole day you are out. upper level have very good sea view, and they have free valet parking.

I think I will repeat my stay provided they take into consideration our comments about bathrooms and showers

Good Hotel

Let me start with the positive. The rooms are spacious, and the view of the sea is very nice. Add to this the lack of carpet in the room, and it gives you a certain feeling of clean.

Jump into the showers [the bathrooms are quite old] and you're spending 20 minutes playing with the faucet between freezing and scalding hot water...it is a game you cannot win!

The staff seem incompetent and unmotivated. The front desk clerk asked me to come back at 3pm because he didn't know how to use the credit card machine...in a hotel?

This was the same employee in charge of the front desk [on the ground floor] and the breakfast room [on the 1st floor]...this meant that the poor excuse for breakfast wasn't properly stocked because he has to tend to both aspects of his job.

Bottom line, the view and the size of the rooms doesn't make up for the poor showers, poor breakfast and incompetent staff.
