Lodge hidden in a small street. When the gates open there is the beauty. Every room has its personality, the food is wonderful, the host adorable and the pool the perfect conclusion of the day. Unmissable

Beautiful surprise

We stayed for 5 days in Mimi na Wewe. Gloria and Gianni created this little paradise through a mixture of italian flair and african culture and hospitality. They only speak a little english but their staff speaks it fluently. You can spend time near the pool, have dinner (italian/swahili cuisine) or just hang around. Mimi na Wewe is located in Timboni, part of Watamu. Beaches are about 30-45 minutes walk away but you can take a tuktuk (100kshilling). I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Recommended!

Little paradise

We stayed at Mimi na  Wewe in November 2016. We were the only guests that weekend and were treated like royalty. It was such a refreshing time; the gardens, the pool, it was all so relaxing. We had the pool to ourselves and there was no rush to check out. The owners only speak Italian but they have David who helped us with translation.

A gem waiting to be discovered

Everybody In Mimi Na Wewe made us feel so welcome and made our stay very comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed and professional at the same time. The rooms we stayed in were very comfortable and clean, and we enjoyed sitting at our own veranda. The garden is really amazing !  The meals were delicious, each evening Emanuel  rustled up all sorts of tasty treats. A big thanks to every one at Mimi Na Wewe for making our stay perfect !

Great place and fantastic staff !

March 2014, my first holiday outside Europe, my first holiday in a place so far away, my first holiday with my boyfriend. My first time in Africa. And it will not be the last one! 

After a bit of research we've decided to travel to Kenya, and to book a room in Mimi Na Wewe. Months before the holiday, thanks to the amazing pictures on their facebook page and their detailed website, I was already in love with that exotic place, and when I finally got there I discovered there was even more!
Gloria, Gianni, and Luca are the best you can find if you really want to enjoy the real Africa. First of all they welcome everyone as an old friend; you are not a tourist trapped in the rigid resort's schedule, you are part of their family. 
The atmosphere is very relaxed and professional at the same time. The rooms are clean and the food was always good (with a mix of Italian and Swahili!). As in a family we were always having dinner together (the guests and the owners), it was the perfect moment to tell the others about your own day, and to listen to Gloria and Gianni's careful advise about what to do the day after. 
Thanks to them we visited amazing places like the mangroves lagoon, the Gede ruins and the beautiful beaches. We also had the opportunity to visit some local families that live in small villages around Watamu. 

Gloria and Gianni also helped in the organisation of our perfect safari trip in the Tzavo East Park. No words can describe the magnificence of that place, from the bare savannah to the green forest, the blue sky and the moltitude of animals! I will keep those landscapes in my memories forever. 
I would have never thought that Africa was all this, and I believe I would have never experienced it without Gloria, Gianni, and Luca. A special thanks goes to King David as well, undoubtedly the best!

Mimi Na Wewe is not only a place where to stay, is a whirlwind of red sand and blue sea, of smiles and deep black eyes, of flavours and colours that I will never forget!

Love at first sight!

We stayed at Mini Na Wewe when we first arrived in Kenya and it was a great place to relax and get us into the holiday mood. Gloria, Luca, David and all the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome and made our stay so comfortable. The little chalet we stayed in was very comfortable and it was great having a our own little veranda. The garden is really stunning and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evening watching all the birds and taking in the sounds of Africa. We enjoyed the suppers, each evening the chefs rustled up all sorts of tasty treats. A big thanks to ever one at Mimi Na Wewe for making our stay so special.
