Capsule Hotel Anshin Oyado Premier Tokyo Shinbashi Shiodome

Just wow! This was my first time at a capsule hotel and I absolutely LOVE it! This iteration is women only and quite frankly it’s amazing. First let’s pay tribute to the staff - super friendly even tho my Japanese is passably awful on a good day. I felt welcomed as a gaijin and this makes so much difference in a country that has absolutely zero issues showing its indifference to outsiders. The Hotel comes with all day bottomless rice and sprinkles meal including miso and a soup as well as free endless non alcoholic drinks plus coffee and so many teas, and after 5pm there’s a free bar too. From 5am to 10am there is also free curry and it has vege and meat options. The capsules are absolutely adorable and also very comfortable. I chose a top one which weirdly is cheaper. No complaints there. Also features a smoking room if you are so inclined. There is a free self laundry service if you are staying multiple days, and the location is pretty nice too - a stones throw from Shiodome station, and if you fly into Haneda and don’t might a walk with luggage, you can take the monorail directly to Hamamatscho and walk the cute lanes-ways for like 7-8 mins (or if your me 10 because I was second guessing my navi). 30mins from Shibuya and about 10 from Ginza and other cool central sight seeing opportunities. But the crown jewel is a private Onsen and Sauna which is free for guests, and shiatsu massage chairs omg. After a day of walking around sliding into a chair then into the Sauna is just a godsend. Needless to say I extended my stay. 8/5 stars
