Stayed for just the one night at the Piazza. Arrived late and checked out early. Room was fairly typical for a Japanese hotel, but with a great view of Lake Biwako.

For in-room wifi a dongle was required from reception, which when connected functioned well.

Breakfast was a reasonable buffet.

Large hotel by the lake

Stayed a night for a meeting, as the meeting was held in the same building. Room was clean, good size and functional. No additional or luxury touch. The lobby is sparse, does not feel like in a hotel, more like an office. The staffs were courteous, english is passable. The restaurant served a typical japanese breakfast..an experience for foreigners like us. All in all, a functional hotel for business purposes.

Nearby, there are two shopping complexes with good selection of food. Do try komeda coffee shop..an experience unlike your typical starbucks.
