Kisyunso

Due to my busy life, I regretted booking this ryokan without checking reviews in tripadvisor. Before arriving, I did not expect anything for this ryokan. However, trust me here was much better than expected. Of course, it did never look as the pictures on website. Many people must be disappointed with it, but considering price, it's good to stay with my family. First of all, it has 4 onsen places - open air onsen (rotenburo), a big indoor one (not so big tough), a small indoor one and the other one. A good thing is that all of them is occupied, ie, Kashikiri. All family members can enjoy the onsen space without disturbed by other people. All of the onsens are small and old but clean. The rotenburo is tiny but clean and cozy. Second thing is that the dinner and the breakfast are served in the room. Moreover, the futon is prepared after dinner. I have stayed over 10 ryokans living in Japan but in-room meal and bedding service costs much higher. Over its cost, although its facility is old and humble, my family enjoyed staying this ryokan and we will stay here again if we have a next chance. The demerits are (1) a heater in room doesn't work very well so it was cold when sleeping (2) corridor had some steps so that old people may be not comfortable to go to onsen spaces. (3) the parking lot is a little far from the ryokan (4) it is not easy to find the ryokan by car. So it is better to contact the hotel when almost coming around it, then the staff will explain the way very kindly and easily. Lastly, do not expect it as seen in the pictures on website. It never be same as them. But it is worth staying and relaxing at low cost.
