Thank you to all the staff at this Ryokan! Service was very timely and excellent! I needed something in the room -- it was there in 5 minutes. The river is pristine and we sat watching it for hours from our room and the lobby. The outdoor women's onsen overlooking the river was wonderful. It is about a 20-25 minute ride into the main part city of Nikko, which we really enjoyed. It was nowhere near as crowded as other tourist sites in Japan and rich in history. Dinner at this ryokan was a work of art -- about 12 courses each for breakfast and dinner and the food was great. I tried some fish I had never eaten before and they were nicely cooked, or raw and fresh. Again, the staff made our visit great. We are grateful.
