2 reviewsWe booked the upstairs apartment for our stay in Kyoto and it was a welcome break from hotels. The apartment is very sweet, and includes a small kitchenette, lovely deep bathtub and bathroom, and a large sleeping / living area with traditional Japanese bedding. All is new and very well designed; it was small but quiet peaceful and cozy. The location is away from busy roads and touristy places, but also walking distance from the subway, the Gion neighborhood, markets, a lovely shopping area, restaurants, and the beautiful walking area along the canal.
