Hotel Global View Tsuchiura

I had the opportunity to stay here for 5 days for a business trip and here's my review on various aspects: Location & options nearby (5/5): I expected not much when I discovered the company had provided accommodation to me in a place called Tsuchiura but to my delight - I was well surprised. I expected a hotel more closer to Tokyo metropolitan area to be honest - but this hotel stay location wise proved to be one of my best stays and a wonderful surprise. There was a huge lake nearby - called the Kasumigaura lake. And man! It was wonderful. The photos if one searches on the net (I have a slow connection so cant really post) would reveal its beauty. But it was like that I landed up straight at Denmark! Along our walking stroll to the lake, we saw wonderful Japanese landscape, beautiful houses, an open field, a huge wonderful peaceful park with open fields and lawns, an amazing pathway at the end of the park leading to the lake - and what not. It was an exhilarating experience to say the least! Wonderful wonderful place!! Hotel facilities & Hospitality (4/5): Won't say more as most of the times I had to go for work but in all, the stay was really comfortable and it was a standard stay - similar to what we get in any decent hotel Food (4/5): Had only the breakfast - rest was managed at work. The complimentary breakfast was also standard - and had wonderful tasty options - especially I loved the eggs & the strong coffee - which we don't get at regular places in India. VFM (-): Didn't have to pay so can't really comment on it. But it was a good stay and the lake nearby simply takes it - that made me fall in love with Japan. I also visited Tokyo metropolitan area btw :) Would love to visit once again.
