The Aioi station hotel  annex  is located  no more than 5 mins walk from the Aioi Station   ( this is a Shinkansen  stop ). The hotel  rooms are really small, but if you just want to  rest for the night  , then i guess  considering its room tariff, it is exactly  the budget type hotel you would want to spend a night . Free wi-fi is available in each room but dont expect much TV programs.
A buffet style breakfast (both  western and Oriental dishes )  starting from 6 : 30 am  is included in the room tariff .  The menu is okay to start the day with a quick bite ( at least for foreigners).
If you need to buy something ,  there is a supermarket very close to the hotel  and so are  a few Japanese restaurants for a good dinner.

Nothing fancy by Japanese standards. The wait for check in took a while...and the staff can't speak English. 
Otherwise,you can have a good night sleep and enjoy the clean fresh air of the countryside.  
The compact bathroom is typical Japanese business hotel type. 

It ok

If you happen to find yourself in Aioi, annex is ok place to sleep. Like most Japanese "business hotels" rooms are tiny and the even more miniature restrooms are molded plastic unit where the sink, tub and toilet are all made out of one large piece of plastic (like something they might roll out for a "concert in the park"  in other countries). You get a small bath towel and hand towel and that is it. There is soap and shampoo and a toothbrush. Only coin laundry. It is very clean and well- taken care of and cheap for Japan but don't expect the Ritz!
