38 reviewsStayed at this property on our way up to Tohoku. Location is close to the East North exit of Omiya Station – just a 4-minute walk. Room was pretty much a standard business-type hotel room in Japan: quite small, clean and functional. For people used to Marriott and Hilton, this room may be too small for your comfort. On the other hand, it was quiet and clean. Amenities include toiletries such as a razor, shower cap, toothbrush, plastic hair brush, a tiny refrigerator and tea set, etc. What minimal service we had was efficient, polite and friendly. We did not purchase the breakfast, since we had a very early train. There is a Lawsons convenience store around the corner from m the hotel, so we purchased food for the train ride up to Akita and beyond. Since Omiya is a bullet train hub, this is a very convenient place to stay. Just be forewarned that like thousands of small hotels in Japan, the standard room size is very small. Omiya is one of the cities combined into what is now called Saitama.
