a beautiful castle near to the sea

in this castle there is 4 aparta ments and 3 room called glicine,cipressi,suite portofino,la terrazza,attico ,and giardino is beautiful o hope that once you guys can go the really beatiful,there the town called zoagli there is restaunt,bakery,bar,
ice cream shops,pharmachy,station,church,the beach,the sea reasturant,zoagli is in the of chiavari and rapallo

I love This castle is amazing visually  an the sea is amazing the place is in Zoagli there is good restaurant you can free parking and free wifi in the castle Canevaro is possibly doing weddings and bed&breakfast the there is 3 beach in Zoagli you can go an swim in Zoagli there’s a station you can go to  cinque terre an portofino in the region liguria Zoagli is in the middle of chiavari and rapallo there is one famous called portofino at 10 from Zoagli if you married with someone you can there is one catering called Manuelina this catering is for la focaccia Di Recco amazing.

This is amazing castle in Zoagli for wedding or for bed&breakfast you can go to the sea every day

I booked the Castello's villa, 'Giardino in villa Margherita' for a stay in summer 2017 and received a confirmation. I then emailed a few days later to clarify some details and they emailed back to say 'sorry, you have to leave a day earlier'.

This has caused me a great deal of inconvenience and I have now had to cancel the booking, having finally found an alternative place for me and my family to stay. They were quite unapologetic that they were reneging on my booking. 

They certainly did not value or respect our agreement. Very poor.

They confirmed then changed my booking dates

This is one of the most romantic and charming places, perched high up on the sea cliff tops.
It is a unique and memorable place, that will stay with you for a long time.
The town is not very big but it has nice restaurants and a few bars. Good swimming off the beach.
The staff are friendly, Kind and simpatico. I will return one day!!

Fantastic

Pro: Definitely one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever seen. 
Good breakfast. Room was clean and amenities ok.
Contra: Could definitely be more professional. Unfortunately the business is run by someone who has no experience in tourism. The prices listed as max. per room (In Italy they are legally fixed) were exceeded by the price given to us (for the ridiculous amount of 5€).

Wonderful location

What a find.  Turning off the coastal road onto the sweeping gravel driveway brings you to the imposing Castello Canevaro.  After a few minutes strolling around the grounds we were met by Emmannuele, the current Duke of Zoagli.  
The castle, which is perched atop the cliffs surrounding the bay of Zoagli has three bedrooms available for bookings.  We were shown to our room, which was the suite with its' antique furniture and breathtaking views out over the Gulf of Tigullio to Portofino. 

Zoagli has a small pebble beach and a choice of restaurants, Unfortunately they did not tend to have too many tables inside and although there were plenty of tables available outside, the weather had turned rather wet and blustery, which is unusual for the time of year, so we ended up travelling by car to Rapallo, which is about a 15 minute drive for each of the three nights we stayed.  There is a frequent train service to Rapallo but as the weather wasn't being kind we chose the car instead.

We did use the train to take us to Santa Margherita before catching a bus to the picture postcard bay of Portofino.

The castle does not have a pool and the three bedrooms are doubles or twins so we felt it may not be suitable for families as you do tend to be on the go all the time.  However, if you are looking for a retreat where you can sit quietly in the lawned grounds, away from the crowds, a book in one hand and a glass of wine in the other with stunning views over the bay below, then this is definitely the place to stay.  

While we were staying Emmannuele told us over breakfast that they are in the process of opening a restaurant.  This would add an additional dimension and allow you to return from exploring the surrounding area knowing you have the option of booking a table at their restuarant especially if, like us, you are not blessed with glorious sunshine.
