18 reviewsRomeo's guest house was a very late booking, we had had a day trip to Verona the day before and had decided we would like to see the Opera at the Roman arena the day after. After a quick trawl in the morning we selected Romeo's guest house, it was a reasonable price (less than 90 euro) and located within walking distance of the Arena. Finding Romeo's though was a bit of a challenge, it is buried in the depths of Verona, but with the aid of google maps we eventually found the entrance, a door bell on a wall of doorbells with Romeo's Guest House etch on a brass plate. The entrance has an electric security gate so after buzzing we were greeted by the owner. He took us up to the 1st floor where he explained a few details re entry/exit. First impressions were not great, the 2 security gates on entry, the unusual colour scheme does take some getting used to. We were showed to our room, basic but clean, this is a real no frills room. No aircon was available but a free standing electric fan was provided. For the purposes of 1 nights sleep then it was perfectly adequate "It does what it says on the tin" to quote an old phrase. Not sure though if I would stay for a week though.
