MB Sisters Glam Rooms

I stayed 5 nights and I am so happy with my choice to stay here. I booked very early so I had a choice of many different places in Vernazza for my dates. This was a little higher priced than the others, but I liked that rooms were more modern. Since I was staying 5 nights I wanted to make sure I had a comfortable stay, and I did! To make check in easy, make sure you check in and make arrangements on where to go before you arrive. Check in is between 1 and 3 but I wasn’t planning on arriving until later so I had my previous hotel I was staying at call that morning on my behalf to see if I could come later. They arranged for me to go to the souvenir shop at the train station when I arrived. The souvenir shop was right in front of me when I got off the train. I went in and a kind man helped me out, even carried my bags down to the hotel while he got the keys for me and got me checked in. Easy. Vernazza has many steep steps, like all the towns in Cinque Terre. BUT, my room at Glam Rooms only had a few to get to the room…and they were never more than 3 steps at a time. Even though I didn’t have to carry my bags up, it was nice not to have to deal with the stairs coming and going throughout the day. This was my room, I’m not sure if all the rooms are this fortunate since I think they are all located in different parts of the building. The room is bigger than it looks in pictures. Everything is brand new and clean, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was good with good water pressure and a nice shower head. My only issue I had with my room is there was no place to put the soap or anything else inside the shower, so I had to use the edge of the sink and slide open the shower door to grab what I needed. Good thing water getting on the floor was not an issues, so this wasn’t a huge deal. Another thing missing was a place to hang a towel. Those are minor things though. The towels were nice and replaced daily. The room had plenty of place to put my bags and hang clothes. Wifi always worked but was pretty weak at times. I had problems trying to upload pictures from my laptop. I’d recommend getting an Italian SIM card for your phone. There were times I had to rely on that because the wifi in the room was too slow. Vernazza is small and no matter where you are in town the train is nearby, and you can hear it. The main street is also always nearby. I was right on the main street overlooking the markets but with the window closed it blocked a lot of the noise. Even with the window open it didn’t bother me and always seemed to stop by midnight when it got very quite in town. I have a feeling if one building hears noise in Vernazza they almost all do, it’s that small. Cirque Terre is beautiful but if you are hiking it can also be exhausting, so I’m glad I had a nice comfortable room and good shower to come home to each day. I would definitely recommend staying at Glam Rooms.
