53 reviewsIf you are looking for a special place to stay in Rome Monte Cenci hotel is perfect. Located next to what was the Old Jewish Getto and the Pantheon it is ideally located for walking to shops and restaurants as well as Roman ruins. It has only 32 rooms each have a king size bed and roomy bathroom with a rain shower. It is away from the street tucked in a quiet corner. The best part was the rooftop bar and lounge area. Half is totally outside and half had a canvas roof and heavy plastic roll up walls. The breakfast was diverse and delicious. They have special coffee drinks in the rooftop area and you are welcomed on check in with a free cup of your choice. The cappuccino was divine. The staff all spoke English and were so accommodating and helpful. Paulo gave us perfect recommendations for restaurants that were walking distant and reasonably priced. And the best part was that every room comes with a totally free smart phone which you can use to call, text, overseas and locally, and use the GPS to walk around and not get lost. They truly made our stay in Rome memorable
