Ancient Rome

Two months ago as we celebrated our 37th anniversary, we decided to have our next honeymoon, 12th prime number, in Rome. We wanted an authentic Roman experience. No palaces next to the Scala di Spagna nor shopping on Via Condotti. At this stage, you’re looking for the real and authentic, the core essence. Nothing you can buy online or in the shopping malls of Boca or Neiman Marcus. When you go to the Rinascente, you head straight to the seventh floor sunset bar to experience Roma at night. So we booked with Andrea an essential rooftop in Monti, the Roman equivalent to Greenwich Village or Neve Tzedek and plunged into a week-long street level living in Roma. Pure Bliss. Local Salse del Cuore and Verde Pesto on your rooftop terrace with local Ciabatta and Tuscan olive oil with a healthy Montalcino Rosso. Tonight service at the Great Synagogue of Roma. Back home we call that, ah mechayeh !
