Hotel Astor

We was so scared about staying here . No reviews since 2022 it’s now 2024! It was cheap & cheerful . Paid £35 for 1 night . It was really clean , bed was comfy , hall and public areas clean. Rooms don’t have a balcony but we had a coffee from the bar and sat on the shared balcony in the morning . You could walk from airport if you wanted we paid €12 in a taxi . We met someone that walked it took them 13 minutes. We arrived at 10pm was abit confused getting in but hadnt seen the message through booking.com otherwise we would have had the code . Our key was just ready and waiting on the desk and the next morning we gave our passports and paid the city tax of €2.50 x 2 . I felt safe . It was quiet . We stayed in March so obviously can’t compare to other months. 7 minute walk to train station. About 15 minutes to the tower . We had room 109 which stated “private bathroom” the toilet and shower was down the hall which we found hilarious but it was so clean . The shower was falling off the wall though and a towel in toilet to avoid slippy floor would have helped but it was what it was ! No complaints as we are very wary going people . Couple late 20s . Hope this helps someone cus I wish I’d had a review like this to give me some confidence :) Also we was allowed to leave our bags after checkout , they wasn’t locked up b it took personal belongings with us .
