Albergo Delle Spezie

Stayed at the Albergo delle Spezie for nine nights to explore the Cinque Terre and surrounding coastline We were made very welcome by the owner / manager and assigned to a spacious and comfortable room with the suggestion to relocate FoC to an even better room after the busy weekend, an offer that we accepted Breakfast was served in a quirky inside or outside area, depending on the weather and personal preference, and was a good mix of cereal, fruit, breads and a toastie, plus tea / coffee of course, see attached picture The 'Inn' doesn't serve other meals but there is a wealth of choice literally on the doorstep. Its location is a few steps away from the bus stops along the front and around fifteen minutes walk up to Centrale station, so handy for both the Cinque Terre rail line and Portvenere / Lerici / etc. bus routes The room move (bar the contents of the safe of course) - managed by the hotel, despite our assurance that we could do it - was waiting for us when we got back on the Monday and everything was sorted. Our rooms were serviced perfectly and there were no oversights In addition, I have to say that the hotel management went out of their way on two or three occasions to make our stay memorable and, not least, to rescue what may have turned out to be a mess up on our part in re: the bus routes and timetables. We were very impressed and grateful for that extra kilometre Net-net, an excellent and memorable stay; thanks to all :)
