The images shown on Tripadvisor.com merge two different locations of Terre di Melazzano. One location is close to the road/main building. The other is in the middle of the wineyard about 1km away from the main building. When clicking the booking link in Tripadvisor the booking.com webpages of the location in middle of the wineyard opens. This location has enormous disadvantages: it is old, the gravel road is  steep and bumpy (our car was damaged), the interior is old and kitchen is badly equipped. After sunset you cannot walk to Greve as there are wild boar fences, no lights, and the hiking trail is not illuminated or marked at all. In addition our appartment was not cleaned properly when arriving. 
The owner apologized a lot and tried to impress us with excuses like UNESCO would not allow to improve the bumpy road... But bottom line we felt deceived.
Be careful when selecting the location in booking.com. If deciding for the one in the vineyard you should have a SUV or better a Jeep. Normal cars is a no no. Also you should have no ambitions for using the kitchen.

We actually stayed at the sister property, Agriturismo Patrizia Falciani, but it is run by Roberta all the same and is down the hill from the main property Terre Di Melazzano.  Roberta (the owner) was lovely, she was so helpful and responsive to my messages.  We arrived in the morning, and an early check in was not a problem at all. Roberta also explained to us how to get to Greve, which was a 20 minute walk down the vineyard.  Sadly, this took us over an hour because we got lost!! However, it was a lovely walk through the fields :)  We then asked the locals and got hold of a telephone number for someone that can taxi to and from properties surrounding Greve. Taxis in Greve are hard to come by, it isn't like anywhere else in Italy because all of the taxis are private, it is not as simple as 'calling a cab'.  But we were put in touch with a lovely local Italian women that was happy to drive us to and from the village. (If anyone needs these details please message me directly and I can pass this to you). 
The property itself was ran day to day by the family that worked there, they were friendly and helpful.  We stayed in the 'Rosa' apartment, with the family next door.  They were very quiet despite having two little ones.  The apartments are set in beautiful farmhouses, they are clean and decorated as typical Italian farmhouses and all have some outdoor space and beautiful views.  The views at this property really are unmatched, there are vineyards as far as the eye can see with Tuscan farmhouses dotted around and the village below.  The pool area is beautiful, it is clean and tidy, and set out very well to make sure it is Covid safe.   We spent a day around the pool, bathing in the sun, and drinking the incredible wine that is produced at the property.  We then decided that we simply could not check out the next day as planned and we needed more time.  We asked Roberta if we could stay another night and she was more than happy for us to stay.  This meant we stayed for 3 nights in total, and we could happily have stayed another week - which we will be doing next year!!

We have just had a most relaxing holiday at Patrizia Falciani villas in Greve-in-Chianti. We were a group of nine there for two weeks. We enjoyed many day trips to the surrounding region including Florence, Siena, and San Gimignano. The Greve wine festival was on during our stay which we could walk to from the farm. Roberta looked after our every need, organising  wine, taxis, restaurant reservations. She was great and helped make our holiday one we will never forget. Recommend Patrizia Falciani Villas to everyone.

Two weeks in Paradise

Ah! A swimming pool facing the vineyards of Greve in Chianti couldn't go wrong. We stayed in a private house they have. Beautiful and spacious, with a lovely garden where you can have your meals enjoying the birds symphony. The house was a bit dusty when we arrived, but overall the place is excellent!

I like this agriturismo very much. The self catering apartments (I’ve stayed in two different ones plus seen two others) are simple but spacious and comfortable, views of the Tuscan grapevine-rowed hills are abundant, and I love that each place has its own outside space or terrace or patio so that you can sit and eat outdoors and enjoy the view and the silence.
Location is great and it’s not a long walk to Greve, and you’re right in the heart of Chianti wine country.
The pool is a must on the hottest days of the year and you get to watch an amazing sunset if you sit poolside. 
I definitely recommend this beautiful agriturismo and think it has great value - stay for a couple of nights or make a holiday out of it, using it as your base to explore this gorgeous part of Tuscany.

Great value & location, friendly, stunning views

Stayed here in July 2018 and have to say it really is a beautiful place. The winery is awesome and the location to go day tripping in the small Chianti towns and can't be beaten. Also easy to get to Florence by bus and Siena by car. The staff are super friendly and the wine tasting is outstanding. What held it back from a 5 star is that it was just too hot. We were in Chiara and whilst upstairs had fans and window gauze, including gauze on the stairs to isolate it, the downstairs had no fans and no gauze on the windows. Italy is generally swarming with mosquitoes at this time of the year so it became a catch 22. Leave the window open and get eaten alive or close the doors, not get bitten but sweat your butt off, especially if there is heat from cooking. This can be quite easily fixed with screens and providing some tower fans, which is a simple and low cost solution. Also, whilst the view was amazing from the terraces to eat antipasto and drink wine, we felt uncomfortable with the amount of wasps that were determined to eat our food. Coming from Australia they seem quite aggressive. Whilst I know there are probably rules etc in the winery, it may pay to try to find their nests and eradicate them. It was particularly disconcerting in the pool which they seemed to love and you looked over and saw 40 or 50 of them buzzing in the pool. I'm not trying to be negative here as it really is a nice place, and it is agri-tourismo, but just those couple of things could make it awesome, also are fairly low cost. Would stay there again and probably not as big an issue in the cooler months.

Beautiful romantic spot

My husband and I stayed for 3 night at the end of May in the Elisa villa. The whole place was so beautiful, staff was very friendly and helpful.  The winery/ accommodations are In fact  within walking distance from the bus station, which is what we required as we were on foot. It takes about 25 minutes pretty well all up hill but doable. If you arrive during office hours the staff will be happy to pick you up so you don’t have to walk. Our villa was amazing, full kitchen, two bathrooms, big patio overlooking the Tuscan hills with the most spectacular views. I highly recommend staying here and when you do make sure to book yourself in for the wine and food pairing, it’s well worth it. 

The perfect location 

We just enjoyed 10 days at this lovely Agriturismo. Set amid a vineyard it is a great place to stay. A half hour walk along a track through the vines or a short drive gets you to Greve which has all the amenities. You can get as much advice as you need from Roberta otherwise you are just left alone to enjoy the stay. Greve is a good base to explore many of the villages and sights around Tuscany.

You should have a car as I walked it in 40degree heat and it took 30mins uphill.
