Our Puglia holiday got off to a great start with the wonderful Bruno from Le Colonne collecting us from the airport.
Simple but charming hotel is in a superb location - we loved Room 2 at the front, overlooking the water - this must be the best view in Brindisi!
Enjoyed breakfast at Cafe Betty's around the corner on the waterfront.

Bruno is best!

We were really pleased with this well located accommodation. Just beside the Roman column and a very short walk to the Duomo. Communication with Bruno was excellent. Our room, 2, was a very good size with a small kitchenette. The view from the room and small balcony overlooked the sea front. Key pad instructions for entry,

Enjoyed our stay, sitting on steps watching the view, wonderful hosts, Brindisi is a lovely place to visit, La Colonne is in a beautiful location with everything close by to easily enjoy, comfortable, clean and friendly

Location beautiful, stay fantastic, hosts excellent

Bruno is a friendly and helpful host who couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a great stay in Brindisi.

His communication was great and he responded to whatsapp messages in seconds.

The property is right on the water and I highly recommend the deluxe room with sea view. It’s large and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the port.

Cruise ships arrive on sundays and tuesdays so on those days some nice market stalls set up out the front.

The room was big and the photos here are accurate.

The breakfast coupons work well. 3 euro gets you an excellent coffee and a cornetto right on the water next door!

We loved the traditional tiles and atmosphere and Bruno really makes the experience.

Wifi worked ok but got overloaded at times. The hot water is enough for summer, but might be a challenge in winter.

I would stay here again without hesitation. Look no further.

Wonderful experience

We just had one night at this lovely guesthouse, which location is just unbeatable! Right at the boulevard settled in a beautiful historic building. On top of that we were very kindly upgraded to the nicest room of the place. Spacious, nicely decorated with a balcony facing the waterfront. It's such a pleasure to stay in a piece of history that is so well decorated and managed. I really hope to get back here with more time.

Fabulous stay at this lovely guesthouse!

We had a warm, friendly welcome.  Lots of steps up to the entrance so may be a problem for those with mobility problems. Our room was functional but very basic with no view but this was reflected in the price and as we were only staying overnight that was alright for us. There are other rooms overlooking the bay. We ate at Betty's bar underneath which again was "cheap and very cheerful" breakfast of coffee and croissants was also at Betty's and Bruno provided us with a ticket to get our breakfast. Lovely.

No frills but "cheap and cheerful."

The entrance to this lovely B&B in halfway up the wide steps which lead from the old town down to the beautiful port area. It really is a perfect location, though possibly not for people with significant mobility challenges. We received a very warm welcome from our host, Bruno, & the B&B is in a characterful old building & everything was very clean. For breakfast we received a token for coffee & pastry/croissant served in a great cafe at the foot of the steps with lovely view over the port area. From the B&B it was a short walk to all the sites we wanted to visit & Bruno was extremely helpful offering good advice & recommendations of interesting places to see & his recommendation for the best pizza was spot-on. Great B&B, great location & very helpful host

Great location in the nicest part of Brindisi, near waterfront, centre, shops, restaurants and train & bus links. Handy for exploring local towns by public transport although Brindisi is worth a visit on it's own.
The best feature of this hotel is the very warm welcome from the charming (and English speaking) Bruno and his enthusiasm for, and knowledge of, of this delightful area.
