Friendly staff, clean and specious rooms, full equiped kitchen, excellent location close to Basilic! We enjoyed our stay, we came for third time. Very helpful people, we felt here as at home. Highly recommended!!!

Miss

We stayed in Simsim for a couple of days and we can only recommend. It’s very well located in the heart of the zoco, it has a very bohemian and cozy cafe attached and there’s a lot of culture and good vibes around. The common areas are very comfortable and well equipped, the rooms are nice and all the staff is great, but Sami, the one in charge, just stands out!!! We really felt very much at home there.

Gorgeous hostel with a wonderful cafe/shop run by the owners below (Liwan Cultural Centre) 
The room itself was a basic hostel room with bunks, and bedding we were given was clean and comfortable. Only issues were the noise from the street, but once we got used to it, it didn't bother us. Also with the bathroom being unclean, but I think our stay coincided with a new member of staff arriving and them trying to get to grips with things.

Beautiful, Old City base

I stayed a total of 7 nights at Simsim Hostel over two separate visits to Nazareth in the last couple of weeks, using it as a base to hike and tour in the area, and I loved it.

It’s located in the heart of the Old City on the doorstep of the Market in a lovely old building.  It has a fully equipped kitchen (cooker, toaster, kettle, fridges, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, free tea, coffee, oil and spices); a separate area to wash & dry clothes by hand; separate toilets, showers & wash basins; a lovely area with large dining table and comfortable couches to sit & relax; and mixed and single-sex dorms.

The hostel also has an interesting collection of books explaining the history and culture of the area and a cafe/bookshop/gift shop right next door, displaying some great artwork and playing a relaxing and eclectic mix of music, including traditional and jazz.

Silke & Sami (owners) are very kind, easy-going, helpful and respectful and the hostel has the double advantage of being spotlessly clean, but also having all the character of a genuine Old Quarter building (eg: stone floors and stained-glass windows).  Crisply-laundered bed linen is provided for each guest.

If you’re looking to do some tours Silke & Sami can help you to arrange these or, if you prefer to make your own plans, they respect this also and give you space to do so, providing information when asked.

A home from home...

The hostel is unique, simple and uncomplicated. You feel very quickly well taken care of. It is close to shopping and attractions. The hostel's special events make the stay an experience.

Simple and charming

Located in the old town and just a few minutes walk from the main churches and the local market.

Compleatly fantastic. The staff was very helpful. They even went as far as booking us bus tickets to get to Amman. The rooms were very clean. It was at the perfect location in a amazing city. Certainly plan to go back.

Fun few days in Nazareth

The SimSim is a very nice hostel. Very nicely furnished and designed and in a great location to explore Nazareth. We arrived in Nazareth on Saturday evening, which fortunately still happened, not far from the hostel there is a coin-operated washing machine and the hostel itself has a laundry stand. We also had a well-equipped kitchen where you can actually cook something. Unfortunately, I can only agree with some of the customers' comments regarding the host's unfriendliness. We arrived in Nazareth on Saturday evening, which fortunately still happened, as it was relatively difficult to get to the Sabbat of Tiberias. We noticed this very difficulty a few days ago after arrival and the owner of the hostel came to change our shop. However, despite our extensive email and an overall event, I can't find anything else to do with the booking, but we didn't have to pay for it. Unfortunately, the hostel was very much ahead of the time of the visit, and the hostel was very busy, but we didn't have to pay for it, and we didn't have to pay for it.

Nice hostel, unfriendly owner

We were in Simsim for a night that November. We didn't arrive until late at night, but we found the hostel quickly, because it's very well located in the old town. I think because of the good location, all the sights are also easily accessible on foot. We were kindly received and explained everything. It's a relatively small guest house and so kind of nice. It's nice furnished and in itself harmonious. We can't say anything about breakfast, since we've already checked out around 8:00. So everything very nice. What we found very disturbing is the open area between the kitchen and the toilets. It's kind of weird when we stand in the kitchen and make breakfast and sit no meter away from the two people in the kitchen. Otherwise, it's very uncomfortable to go to the bathroom and it's very unpleasant to feel that people were dissolved in the kitchen and we're very unhappy in the bathroom.

Nice family hostel

The common area is cozy, the kitchen is spacious, but the bathrooms should be cleaner and the floor-to-ceiling seats closed to keep intimacy, as well as the doors, in the showers should be more perches and put on a curtain so that you can wear clothes and hang it and so you can change without getting wet... finally, we have a few improvements to make for the quality. The breakfast is not included and the staff is not exactly very friendly, especially the woman. For the price of the Fauzi Azar, next door, is very fair in all the personal bathrooms.
