Brilliant B&B in the centre of Cork - walking distance to everything. 

Very attentive staff who make sure you are very comfortable in your stay. 

Definitely will be staying here again. 

Also great breakfast. 

Brilliant stay

Had a lovely stay!  Room had everything we needed and was very comfortable.  On-site parking with easy walk to city center and restaurants.   Breakfast was delish. Staff was very hospitable It’s a gem!

Great stay!

A weekend in Cork was made all the better with a stay at this little gem of a bed and breakfast. 
Don’t let the outside put you off. There’s work that seems to be going on. However once inside the rooms are just lovely. The breakfast choices very numerous and delicious too. We will definitely book here again when we return to Cork.

Fabulous value B&B with great breakfast

Lovely stay at the Shandon Bells in beautiful Cork. We were welcome by one of the lovely ladies who explained everything about the property and were given the keys of our lovely room. Breakfast was superb, with a great selection of continental delicacies and our choice of cooked food.
The place is located in a beautiful area of Cork, close to the lovely University Campus, the Fitzgerald Park and the shaking bridge. And it is a 10 minute lovely walk to the centre.

Beautiful B&B in a nice area of Cork

By reading few reviews on Tripadivsor we were hesitating to book in this b&b.
We had a very good surprise. 
The bed was AMAZING, we slept so well!
The bathroom was refurbished and very modern.
No noise and they cleaned the ream even if we stayed 2 nights.
I would come back and recommend this b&b.

Perfect stay

My brother and I had a 4-night stay here. We were in room 4 in the refurbished part of the building. There were tea and coffee making facilities (with biscuits) and a lovely little shower room with an excellent shower.  Downstairs was a room where you could sit if you wanted to with a large TV, fridge and microwave available for use. 
The breakfasts were amazing with all you could wish for (these were included in the price when we booked, but people who hadn’t booked breakfast were free to add it later).
We were usually served by Karen who was an absolutely delightful young lady from Manila. She was so happy and cheerful all the time and we looked forward to seeing her every morning at breakfast.
There was some renovation work taking place outside that looks as if it will be a pleasant outdoor area for guests when finished. This didn’t detract from our stay in the least.
We didn’t need the car park but it did seem rather small for the number of guests.
We were able to walk into the centre within 10 - 15 minutes, so the location is very convenient.  Also Fitzgerald Park is only a few minutes' walk away.
I would not hesitate to come back here and would highly recommend this place.

Excellent B&B in walking distance of city centre.

Booked a place here at short notice as I had a sudden hospital appointment and we couldn't have been happier. We stayed in room no.2 and we're surprised to find that it had recently been done up. It was clean and beautiful. Everything worked perfectly and the jacuzzi style bath was a lovely treat. It looked as though there is further work being done to incorporate a patio style area to the rear of the premises, which will overlook the river. It'll be interesting to see how that develops. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and there was plenty on offer. We had a lovely view of the river as we ate. The staff were polite and helpful.  A great place to spend a short stay, and close to everything. Great value for money. Thanks for a lovely night.

Great !!

I stayed here for two nights with breakfast included. I am a vegetarian so I came prepared to be happy with just eggs on toast or porridge... But I was blown away by the breakfasts that were made for me here. This is the kind of breakfast I search for on regular café menus and can never find. Fresh veggies and flavour! Not in the images - you are also served a little Yoghurt to start you off with and get drinks straight away too. 

The hosts were incredible too, so lovely and welcoming. Always wanting to offer you more and checking in to see if you are happy. Customer care is very important to me, so this was an excellent choice of accommodation. I would highly recommend this place.

Great vegetarian breakfast!

When you are used to modern hotels and their abundance of steel and glass, spending a few nights at a place like Shandon Bells feels almost like being in a time capsule. The labyrinthine corridor leading to the rooms in the main building, with its ups and downs, three steps here, two there, could be taken straight from a Victorian novel. Everything feels like from a different time.
The rooms are decorated and furnished nicely, while the bathrooms do not make you feel like you are missing out on any modern comfort.
The staff is delightful and very helpful. 
One word about the location: especially if you are visiting someone who is studying at University College Cork, you would be hard put to find a more favourable place,  10 minute' walk from the city centre and literally on the doorstep of the main university campus.

Nicely cosy

I was arriving via the train from Dublin and they were very helpful on how to get from Cork station to their b&b. I was able to check in right away. It was great having a wardrobe to hang up my dresses. The bathroom was lovely and modern and the shower and bath both worked very well. The towels were so fluffy. They were perfect. The doona was the right weight in my opinion, the bed was very comfortable and the sheets were divine. It was an easy walk into town, but also, go for a stroll around the university just across the road. I would recommend,

The wifi wasn’t the best, but that was my only issue.
