Apart from being right next to a road, the location of this site is pretty near perfect. 

Well  looked after facilities & wonderful owners, you’re very much made to feel welcome.   Surrounded by mountains & a peninsula, it is the perfect place to walk or cycle or like we did, simply sit & breathe it all in.

Celtic Camping Day 8

I have been travelling around Ireland for one year now, and this is, without doubt, my favourite campsite of all. Not just the location, but the amazing family who run it: so friendly and they even helped me out with a new tent when my other one fell apart. I haven't even left yet and I want to come back. Thanks, Jamie & Daniel.

Chilling out in the Beara.

This is the second time I have stayed in Hungry Hill campsite and it did not compare to our first stay. Our first stay was a fabulous, quiet stay and the staff were all lovely. The site isn’t that big but all the tents and camper vans are tightly packed with very little personal space this time. In my opinion, I think there are too many tents and camper vans on the site for the size of it. Just to note, there is a building site beside the campsite and they start building work between 6:30 and 7:00 every morning during the week. Very little interaction with the staff at the campsite. Facilities are ok, needs a bit more care.

Disappointing

Fantastic campsite, spotlessly clean. We were blessed with glorious weather which unfortunately also meant the midges were out in full force. However, the fantastic communal fire pit provided a wonderful refuge from them. Curiously, fires are a rarity on campsites in Ireland, so this truly is a gem. We will definitely be back.

A rare gem of a campsite

TOP location to explore the Beara Penisula. This park and its owners, Jamie and Daniel, are just fantastic. They are very friendly and helpful. Kitchen, toilets, showers and grounds, are very clean. Washing and drying machine available. New playground for children. We booked 4 but we stayed 6 days. Have not one single negative point to make about this campsite! El & Kees

Excellent

I stayed in the site one night on 16/08/22, had an infant with me but there was no mention of infant rates in the website nor mentioned to me. Paid what ever they had asked me to pay in advance knowing that it is non refundable.The owner was very rude and abusive just because i had not paid for the infant. I would have paid if he mentioned politely about it.Kids had literally dropped a piece of wipes on the grass by mistake and same thing again. It is not like we had packed up and disappeared leaving all the rubbish.Horrible Horrible experience. We even thought it was a very much  racist experience too.Will never ever recommend it to anyone looking to camp as a couple or family. Just avoid it. Lots if other nice camping sites in the area

This is a great spot, you can travel to all the local places very easy from this site .  
Family friendly , very peaceful, lots of friendly people about  .

Fantastic

Super place to stay. I stayed here to do a bit of hiking and have a dip in the sea. Daniel was very friendly and gave me some local routes to hike and also places to swim. Everything here was spotless and well kept with a lovely relaxing atmosphere.  A real gem in the Beara Peninsula. Loads of places close by to visit aswell. They even have a cool fire pit which is very sociable. Can't praise this place highly enough.

Solo trip

I stayed in the hostel in a single room while lone walking in West Cork. The facilities were fantastic, the room, kitchen and shower area were spotlessly clean and well equipped. The location is fantastic and the backdrop of mountains is beautiful. Daniel and Jamie were fantastic hosts, knowledgeable about the surrounding area, and kind. They obviously have a passion for, and enjoy, what they do. It was a joy to see them managing the site with their young children in tow and making it all seem so  effortless. Well done guys!!

Best hostel ever!

Daniel and Jamie are very friendly and welcoming.  The site is well maintained and the showers/toilets are new and immaculate.

 We had a great time here.  Ideally situated for the Ring of Beara and Ring of Kerry.

Castletown is 15 Km away and there is a good choice of restaurants there.
