Hotel is nice. I had book super deluxe room, they were spacious, neat and clean. View from roof top resturant was amazing. Food was tasty, they had limited spread in breakfast. I think spread should be more. They also help us with providing Jain food. City palace, gangaur ghat, Jagdish temple are at walkable distance. Overall experience was good. Would recommend to other.

Amazing stay with best view from top

Stayed here 2 Nights, It has decent and large rooms having good facilities, staff is very courteous especially Mr. Ankit at the reception and he will guide you also, their highlight is the rooftop restaurant named SunnMoon basically the best food you can get in the old city, staff there is also very polite and helpful especially Ms. Anitma and Mr. Mohit

Best Hotel and restaurant in the old city

The hotel is situated in the heart of Udaipur. We loved the stay... a little noisy as it's in a crowded area and due to some construction.  But the staff is nice.. And the rooftop restaurant is awesome!

Heart of Udaipur

It was good stay and rooftop restaurant is the best. The breakfast was good and we liked it very much.  It in the old city beside Jagdish Temple and all the places are nearby only.  Room are good,  they can be even better.  The food is good and testy.  They have maintained the hotel and restaurant very well.  Overall a good one and one can have good time here. 

Amazing rooftop view with good food 

I would highly recommend the hotel. The location is perfect if you will work and discover the city. It is located near Pichola lake and you could clearly see lake palace and jagmandir. Which is a memorable view. The rooms are amazing. This hotel is based in old Udaipur, and this city has a different vibe. You get to see the raw Udaipur. Don’t get me started about the staff, they are the best, they are always warm welcoming us. I’ll definitely come again once am back in Udaipur.

Beautiful rooms at an amazing location 

The place is located right behind the famous Jagadish temple giving it a pious feeling. As you walk out of the hotel, you'll be lost in the cobbled streets of Old city lined with stores selling all kinds of hippie stuff of local Rajasthani art. The 4th floor room had preserved the old style architecture of the place having stained glass windows that beamed colorful pattern on the wall in the morning sun. The L shaped balcony overlooked lake Pichola on one side and the temple Shikhara on the other. We also got a chance to witness the daily lives of the locals on their terrace: from drying chilies to water their terrace garden. In the evening, the sunset behind the Aravalli hills was a mesmerizing experience. The crown jewel of the hotel is the multi-storied rooftop restaurant, arguably the biggest and tallest in the area. With a very polite hospitality, we enjoyed our evening dinner with a view of the lake lined with Rajput style buildings brimming with evening lights. 

Living the Old City Experience

The location and Hotel are amazing ... specialty : ROOF TOP RESTAURANT  . courteous staff .. rates are reasonable . the scenic view from the restaurant top during evening and during morning breakfast is overwhelming . 

Amazing Time Spend

We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Udainiwas. The hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of the old quarter within walking distance of the main sights. The room was nicely designed and very clean, with all of the amenities. On the roof there is a restaurant with great views of the city and delicious food, and the complimentary breakfast was tasty too and different each day. They also had live music on the rooftop one evening we were there which was entertaining. The staff were also really friendly and helpful and even showed us another good place to eat in the city!
Overall I would recommend a stay at this hotel :)

Excellent stay in Udaipur!

Great views from rooftop restaurants. Staff was cooperative and helpfull. Near to ghat and the city city p makes it easy to reach vy walking just few steps. Nice place to stay and explore the city. Food can be improved.

Great views from rooftop restaurant.

Our stay at Udai Niwas (or Banjara Hostel, as they are the same thing) was excellent.
The service was great, the staff polite and helpful, and the breakfast at the rooftop tasty and freshly made even if not a great variety was present.
Our AC private room was very spacious and had a terrace with a nice view, but I must give 4 stars and not 5 only because the room did not have warm water for showering.
Overall I would stay again at Banjara Hostel / Udai Niwas!
